"Lady Lucinda!" Daena called out the elder woman's name, a smile pulling at her lips as she caught sight of the familiar raven-haired lady. When Lucinda turned round, Daena made her apologies to the elderly woman with whom she had been engaged in — reluctant — conversation with. Parting ways with the noblewoman, she strode forward and knit her arm with the Tully girl's, and bid them both to walk on.
"Forgive me," she murmured as they moved out of sight, "Lady Celtigar is unyielding in her efforts to turn my eye to her grandson — the one with the pox scars on his cheeks, mayhaps you've seen him about the court?" She huffed at the notion and rolled her eyes, shaking her head at the notion. "Hoary old crab — I saw you pass by, and thought you might be my savior."
