Haha, sorry, but I really do need a break. (Well. Not a break as much as a break for my liver, a return to a ‘normal’ sleeping schedule, a reminder to my IRL friends that I still exist, and, OH YEAH, to do wedding planning.)

BUT ALSO! I’m so, so, so excited to have time to READ again 🥰😍🥰 I really do struggle to read and write at the same time, bc I don’t want to be swayed, or forget my own plot and characterizations, so I really have to limit what I can inhale!

9. Which fic has been the hardest to write?

theogony takes the most time for research, but I think bond and free has required a lot more planning. but as baf is on hiatus and theogony is something I'm currently working on, it definitely takes the forefront of my mind!

10. Which fic has been the easiest to write?

spice and honey or to be always kind and true both flew pretty quickly! those little fluffy one-shots are always fun, and they don't have high stakes, so I always feel really good putting them out.

11. What do you like best about this fic?

I really enjoy getting to flesh out my versions of the characters (something I miss doing!! ugh I need to pick up this story again) in their natural settings. I love how immersive it feels for me to write and to be in this world, and how fun it is to imagine them living day-to-day. it's just so fun!

13. What music did you listen to, if any, to get in the mood for writing this story? Or if you didn’t listen to anything, what do you think readers should listen to to accompany us while reading?

I listed to so much music! I listened to a ton of 70s rock to get acquainted with the era of music, because I love featuring music in stories, and I feel like it's so pivotal for the era of record players and wireless radios. I also listened to a lot of Adele, because she feels really cinematic as a songwriter and I felt so strongly like I was in the world when I was listening to 'chasing pavements.' what a woman amirite!

and there are a bunch of bond and free playlists for each character, many of which are public on my Spotify profile! I have many more lying in wait, like ones for Dorcas, Mary, Reg, Peter, etc. but the main characters are all up as of right now!

Cesays doesn’t hang on to money well; he doesn’t feel much need for new stuff, so most of it goes to supporting local businesses and helping his lower-caste friends out
