I’m Cerise, 39, French independent writer and artist living in Mexico I mostly draw digitally and Yuri on Ice fanarts represent the biggest part of my work

Namida is a Yuri on Ice Open/inclusive zine project raising money for The Trevor Project! Apps open January 1st 2019. Until then we will be posting recommendations of some good angst fan fiction! Hopefully they will provide inspiration, a good cry or whatever you need!

Summary:  Victor wakes up in a hospital room. At his bedside is a Japanese skater he came across at the Sochi Grand Prix Final.

Amnesia is an English translation of the original fic which was written in French. Cerise did a wonderful job translating-- it flows well  and she even provides examples for some phrases that don’t translate directly over. One thing I love about this fic is the artwork! Cerise drew artwork for each of the chapters as well as a cover! It’s a cool preview to what goes on in each chapter. I am jealous that she is a wonderful artist and a writer!

The topic matter (Amnesia) is handled well. The timeline where it happens is a good punch to the gut. Yuuri and other characters react realistically too. I just wanted to give Yuuri a hug! I love that the plot in the fic happens, and the problems Viktor and Yuuri have aren’t just magically fixed and disappear. Sad things happen, and they don’t go away after a hug and kiss ... but it also doesn’t mean that the ending is sad too!

With soft lines and glowing colors, @cerisebio brings you along through joyous and gentle moments. A newer artist than those the ones featured before, but no less talented.

Each image makes me sigh with adoration. They’re all so. damn. sweet.

For favorite things to draw:

I’d say dancing/ice skating movements (which I only discovered I loved drawing thanks to YOI). I love to capture the dynamic and try to express the grace of the dancer/skater

There’s one YOI character it’s clear is Cerise’s favorite:

Easy! Victor, because he’s my favorite and he has a beauty out of this world.  Long or short hair, I love both. He looks good in anything.

Then I can tell you it shows in your writing, Vitya sounds like a confused child at times. The skype conversation kind of confirmed my impression, when you said he was young but wouldn’t let the man impress him
