⁣ Canon Powershot SX730 HS ⁣ Taken on 25/04/2019.⁣ ⁣ Ceriana is a gem of a medieval village roughly 15km from the coastal town of Sanremo.⁣ ⁣ One of the most ancient villages in this part of the Ligurian hinterland, Ceriana is the perfect place for those who enjoy going on an adventure, wending one's way through the steep narrow streets that are intersected by a cool combination of rounded archways and stone vaults—some leading out on to quiet squares dominated by dormant cats, others leading to dead ends.⁣ ⁣ In these snapshots I wanted to highlight the ring-shaped formation of houses around a hill which echoes the defensive construction techniques that were used during the Ligurian medieval era. Observing Ceriana from this angle inspired me to climb up to the very top of the village and explore all the hidden alleys in between.⁣ ⁣ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲:⁣ ⁣ To get to Ceriana, first take a train from Ventimiglia, Albenga, Savona or Genova to Sanremo.
