Rocchetta Nervina is an ancient medieval village where visitors can feast their eyes not only on the incredibly old architecture, but also the spectacular landscape. It's hard not to be astonished by the gorgeous woods, fir forests, craggy hills and olive groves that surround this medieval borgo. And with it being in the backdrop of the Ligurian Alps, it's a (secret) hot spot for canyoning during the summer months. As I was strolling around the village, I was amazed by how the stone houses seemed squashed together as though they were on top of each other, and the maze of deserted narrow alleyways that led me to a series of archways like in this photo. And with fewer than 300 residents, Rocchetta really is a hidden treasure in the Nervia Valley. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: You can get to Rocchetta Nervina from Ventimiglia by bus (line 7) with 'Rivieratrasporti'.
