Do you ever like to connect the dots and then fill in the blanks across sevreal myths? I don’t recommend it with Chiron unless you fancy melting into a useless puddle of feels for the baby and Apollo.

Chiron is the son of Cronos and Philyra and according to the Argonautica he was concived while Zeus was still a child on Crete. Now the lenght of pregnancy varies when gods are involved but there’s no suggestion that it took over 10 years(10 years in the lenght of the war with the titans in most sources+however long it took for Zeus to grew up, though he is a god so unaturally fast coming of age is a thing). So not only was Chiron abandoned right after birth he was abandoned in the middle of the hardcore apocalypse that was the Titanomacy. 

And when Chiron gave up his immortality it was because he could feel all the effects of the incurable hydra venom but he couldn’t die from it. Did that apply only to the hydra venom or was it the same with everything else? Was he able to feel all the pain of starving or freezing to death without dieing? And any injuries he got cause mountains were being ripped out of the earth whole and you got constant earthquackes and lightining just became a thing and he was a baby. 

So can you imagine the state he was in when Apollo found him and all the care, love, patience and dedication that it took to get the baby over all that trauma and to the point we meet him in all the other mythos. I love them so much, I want to cry😭😭😭AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
