Recently, life had become very busy for Hwasa as she made arrangements for her grandmother, looked for a job, and prepared to start school in just a matter of weeks. Because of this, she had let many of her friendships fall to the wayside with one person in particular being left behind. Of course Hwasa felt bad about this, but life happened sometimes and she figured her friend would be understanding. In any case, when a day where she had nothing to do finally arose, she offered to take her friend out for the day. Though Hwasa and Hayi were very close in age and Hayi tended to give off a cool, mature, aura--Hwasa couldn’t help but treat the other as if she was younger. It wasn’t meant to demean or belittle the other girl, but something about her made Hwasa feel like Hayi needed to be doted upon. This could just be a reflection of Hwasa’s own wants though as she had always wished for a younger sister or someone to spoil.
This day would be for them. Despite being tight on money for the month, Hwasa wanted to take her friend out and to pay for things. She was aware of the fact that others tried to buy Hayi’s friendship and she wanted to prove to the other girl that she wasn’t like that. Maybe there were better ways to go about doing so, but Hwasa justified this method because she would really be treating herself along with Hayi that day, so it was alright.
Around one in the afternoon, Hwasa made her way to Hayi’s house, bus or taxi change jingling in her pocket and her wallet snapped firmly into the back of her jeans. The house was phenomenal, awe-inspiring, and she was a bit stunned at first--to say the least. A quick shake of her head rid the feeling though and she walked up to the door, knocking firmly before sending a quick message to her friend.
[Txt--heya hayi] I’m here! Can you hear my knock??
[txt--heya hayi] Hurry and come outside. We have a big day planned. Did you pack clothes to stay over?
