Since mysterious-cat-official didn't ask you rare questions, let me share one of mine:
Subject: The Map
Rarity: ✦ Exceptional
What is the most beautiful video game universe you have ever played?
Now, you too have a special one! <3
oh thank you so much for sending this, this is so sweet 🥹
It's really hard to pick, but I'm between 3...
Life is Strange,
Okami, and...
Stardew Valley
I'm in love with the artistic flair and the vision each of these games had. To me, the beauty is in the small moments — where you can really feel the love poured into every aspect of the game.

I was tagged by both @celinou and @weer02 to do this picrew and share my favourite song :) thank you both! I'm making a new post because I didn't want to have to choose who to reblog from hehe
I don't really have one favourite song (way too much choice!) but recently I've been obsessed with Ben je klaar?, Pommelien Thijs's latest song!
Hype meme!!! Which aspect of fandom are you most looking forward to? (e.g. reading/writing fic, the bounty of gorgeous art, getting to know new people, etc.)
various answers to some askmeme-related messages under the cut. :)
(hello everyone!! ◕‿◕)
^ I love seeing the abundance of beautiful art, and I'm also just really happy to see the community so active, creating, hyped and filled with people and chatter once again :')
a-tear-in-the-veil asked: "Dragon Age Hype Questions 1-4 (those are like the r questions I want to ask everyone who plays, sorry 😂)"
no worries hh :D
1. the first Dragon Age game I ever played was Dragon Age: Origins!
2. my favorite DA game so far is a rly tough question!! probably DA:O or DA:I, though an answer with two games in it is kind of a cop-out ik hh. (I do also really love DAII)
3. in games like these my go-to is usually warrior or another fighter-type class ^^ my Inquisitor is a warrior, and my Warden began life as a warrior (I only changed them in the runup to DA:I's release to create a bit more differentiation between my PCs). in DA:TV I think Spellblade especially sounds super fun
4. my worldstate is that the Inquisitor romanced Solas, disbanded the Inquisition, and then vowed to stop Solas at all costs.. ദ്ദി ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ )
celinou asked: "For the datv q&a ask game: 6, 10 and 16. Thank you for all the news and info you share with us 🤍"
(tysm for the lovely ask 🥺)
6. I have them planned to a degree yea!! I think it would be fun to play them as a Spellblade
10. 'Which location are you most excited/hoping to explore in-game?'. most excited out of the confirmed/for sure locations - Arlathan Forest!! I've been wanting to explore Arlathan Forest since forever, since DA:O. I'm so curious about all the ancient elven history, lore and secrets it might hold. runner-ups are Weisshaupt (another place I've been wanting to see since DA:O) and the Crossroads again (since it seems that it also holds lots of cool lore and secrets to find out, again). hoping to explore - speculation aside, I'm really hoping we will visit Kal-Sharok in this game. it's so intriguing and mysterious-sounding. (btw, if Kal-Sharok has now been confirmed beyond speculation like in a preview video or something somewhere, I'm not aware of it as I'm dwelling in a spoiler bunker rn - so if you're reading this and know, pls don't tell me if it is or not, or any other spoilers hh).
16. that Felassan lives. my fav crack theory is my theory that Ghilan'nain has something to do with the Executors.. I put it out there in ~March 2020. it's based on the fact that the Ghil monster pools in Horror of Hormak were said to smell of brine/salt/the sea, and the fact that the Executor in Dread Wolf Take You was said to smell of the ocean under their robes.
sophiasartandgaming asked: "16 for the Veilguard Ask Game"
for 16 pls see above ^^
ellstersmash asked: "hi! 3 & 10 for that ask game? 🙏"
for 3 and 10 pls see above ^^
sky-fire-forever asked: "7, 9, 16, and 19 for the Veilguard meme!"
7. Felassan fr 🧎🧎🧎 even if this is only in the form of some kind of Fade dream or flashback/memory sequence
9. I'm stuck between Davrin, Neve, Lucanis, Taash and Bellara :D
16. for 16 pls see above ^^
19. I'm currently doing a re-read of Tevinter Nights to brush up on it before release! I think re-reading the other DA:TV-era/DA:TV-promo materials (DA: The Missing, the shorts) and replaying Trespasser will also be a good idea for me before release.
mewsly asked: "8 and 19 for the Hype Q&A? :D Also thank you so much for all that you do to keep us all in the know! <3"
(thanku sm for the lovely msg.. 🥺)
8. I think I'm most excited to learn more about the Shadow Dragons (like who leads the Shadow Dragons? do they have ties to the Lucerni, and therefore Dorian and Mae? is the Viper associated with them?) and the Veil Jumpers. I'm also excited for more Crow lore.
19. for 19 pls see above ^^
kirkwallsquad asked: "4, 13, 14, and 20 for the hype q&a please :D"
4. for 4 pls see above ^^
13. I think the CC looks fantastic and is really cool!
14. I will miss having three companions with me.
20. 'Post a picture or gif that conveys your current level of excitement for Dragon Age: The Veilguard!' - here is a picture -
and here is a bonus moodboard -
thanku sm everyone for the asks and questions, this was fun to do!!
All your stories have such great titles! (what's your secret?) They all sound intriguing, but I must say I'm really curious to know what The Godhood Gambit is about?
Ahh thank youuu!! tbh I don't really have a secret for titles, even when I was in university I just put a lot of effort into coming up with good/funny titles for essays (I once got a 10, which in the Netherlands is practically unheard of, for an essay titled 'Tea for Brits and Coffee for Wits; the impact of coffeehouses on British society in the late seventeenth century'). But most things go through like 2 or 3 different titles before I settle on one, so it's just working out what sounds better.
As for The Godhood Gambit! It's the original work I've started trying to actually turn into a full novel since like, January? Admittedly most I have now are 2 or 3 random scenes, but I do have a full outline ready to guide me, so I'm hopeful I can do it, just might take some time (I am not a fast writer). I'll add a summary below:
It's the story of a fugutive princess traveling a war-torn world in order to become the Goddess of the moon.
Ririka, former general and princess of the Water Empire, escapes Emperor Reijiro's (her brother) desert prison in one of the Water colonies in the Fire Desert with the help of the new Sun Goddess Mio, who kept her company during the days in prison and became her girlfriend. Unfortunately they discover that new Gods start losing their humanity the longer they interact directly with the mortal realm, and Mio is starting to have episodes where she loses control, posing a danger to people around her. Ririka decides that, since she doesn't have a real chance at freedom in the mortal world anyway, she will find a way to become the Moon Goddess in order to be with Mio forever. To do that, she travels with Mio and Takeo, Mio's grim ex-fiancé from when she was human, around the 5 elemental realms (the Empire of Water, the Land of Fire, the Wood Tribes, the Metal Dynasty and the Earth Clans) trying to beat the clock before the Mio she loves is gone. Along the way, she comes face to face with the real outcome of the Empire of Water's expansionist ambitions, though it seems not everyone is happy with the results of her brother's peace deal either.
I was tagged by @betty-fran and @celinou :) thank you both!
Reading: The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. I read about half of it years ago and never got around to finishing it, but some friends of mine have a book club (over Discord) – I usually don't participate, but when I saw that this was their next pick and I happened to have the night they're meeting to discuss it off work, it felt like the perfect moment to finally pick it up again!
Last series: I've mostly been watching reality game shows lately. Heel Holland Bakt (Dutch edition of TGBBO) just wrapped up a new season and now I'm still following De Mol (a Belgian secret saboteur show) and Wie is de Mol (its inferior but still fun Dutch copy).
Last movie: But I'm a Cheerleader (1999). It was fun and looked gorgeous!
Last song: I've been having Pommelien Thijs's album Gedoe on repeat in the car the past weeks. I think it was on Atlas when I got home last night, but I can't recommend the entire album enough tbh!!! Masterpiece
Working on: Uhhh. A bunch of fanfics. Gifs. Photography. Been drawing a little again. Meddling in some fiber crafts. No I don't have that many hobbies why do you ask
Salty or sweet: Why would you make me choose!!!! I've been obsessed with this liquorice candy lately which is BOTH. (I'm always obsessed with liquorice but recently this one has been a clear standout.)
Coffee or tea: I'm sorry to admit that I'm a tea hater. I like coffee, but I don't drink it a lot; it's water, juice or soda for me most of the time. If I want a hot drink it's usually chocolate milk

Thank you so much @celinou for tagging me in this!
RULES: make a new post with the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. let people send you an ask with the title/emoji that most intrigues them, and then post a little snippet or tell them something about it! and then tag as many people as you have WIPs.
Ooh boy, where to start. I will say that some only have a tiny amount written, like one or two scenes, and might just never be continued, but I like to think they count. I suppose I'll split it up into original and fanfiction (not that I have many original WIPs, but still)
The 3 original WIPs I have:
The Godhood Gambit
The Blinded Knight
Historically Close Friends
And then for the fanfic WIPs:
Burning Cherry Blossom
Chasefield: Muse On My Mind
ENreco: Gonathon G - A Humble Knight's Fall
Victoria and Juliet prequel
Tenten fic
Griddlehark Ideas: Is This How It Happens
Florist/Tattoo Artist AU
Azulaang idea: To Reach a Hand Down They Need To Be Beneath You
Historiography of the Elemental Nations: Sakura the Historian
Wenclair first week escape
Telling the Bees
5 Times Catra and Adora's Date Is Fake, And 1 Time It's Not
A Daughter's Vengeance
Faking It For Family - A KronMei Story
Earth Queen Azula
Getting Family Approval
Michizula Sugarmommy fic
Again, some of these are tiny and have little chance of being continued, though some old ones I do happen to come back to occasionally, so I don't want to discount them out of hand.
Anyway, I tag @sourrind and @peachlicks79 and whoever else wants to do it of course!
