Esmeralda and Maleficent
who cooks normally?:Ā Esme will say sheās making dinner, and within a few minutes Celine has slid in beside her and has magicked the carrots into perfectly cut cubes. Esme will protest that she didnāt have to do that, but itās not as though she could really do anything stop her, and they end up taking equal part in making the meal. Celine enjoys the little pout Esme gets when she steps in like that. And why shouldnāt she? Everything goes faster with magic.
how often do they fight?: Far too often. Casual observers would probably wonder why exactly these two are even together in the first place with the way they go at each other. Esmeraldaās morals clash pretty violently with Celineās, and although she sees the faerieās point of view and would like to see her people provided with a safe haven of their own, she hates the way Celine feels she must go about getting it. Celine gets irritated quickly by Esmeās stubbornness and refusal to back down, and her fury is mighty when she gets going. They usually end up at a stand-off, Celine brimming with magic and furious, Esmeraldaās eyes blazing, jaw set, refusing to be intimidated by the person she cares about most.
what do they do when theyāre away from each other?: Esme usually frets over her life choices while simultaneously hoping that Celine isnāt in trouble. Celine finds ways to keep an eye on the travelling dancer so that sheās not always preoccupied with worrying about her.
nicknames for each other?:Ā Esme is incapable of giving Celine a sentimental nickname, favoring snarky names likeĀ āMistress of Darknessā and such. She only refuses to call her Maleficent; thatās not who Celine is to Esmeralda, thatās someone else. Celine uses terms like ādarlingā and ādearā mainly.
who is more likely to pay for dinner?: Celine, although neither is big on going out. Esme does like to sample local food if they go places, but would rather recreate things at home.
who steals the covers at night?: Celine, but itās hardly a problem.
what would they get each other for gifts?:Ā Esmeralda would make Celine little bangles or Vagrant charms with a personal touch, which would initially be dismissed as unnecessary, but Esme would smile when she catches sight of one around Celineās wrist while sheās working some spell. Celine would probably give her much more practical and actually magical charms which Esme would wear openly and proudly.
who kissed who first?: It was dark and neither is quite sure who went first. But both will argue for ages over which of them did, each insisting it was them.
who made the first move?: Celine flirted more, and at first it seemed that Esmeraldaās flirting in return was more platonic and harmless than anything else. But then one day they were nose to nose and they both felt something shift between them, and itās anyoneās guess who moved from there.
who remembers things?:Ā Celine is a faerie and her memory is long and good, so she remembers more. But Esme has a talent for remembering grudges and will use that memory on Celine when they argue.
who started the relationship?: Celine announced her intentions. Esme drew the lines.
who cusses more?: Esmeralda. Sheās a Vagrant, living on the streets and traveling the world her whole life. Her swears are very colorful and usually quite barbed. But Celine spits swears with more venom and animosity when sheās angry.
what would they do if the other one was hurt?:Ā Esme has strong basic medical skills and can stitch a wound in no time if need be, but if it was severe she would be forced to trust in Celineās powers to heal herself, because she wouldnāt be able to rely on her Vagrant family to help where the dark faerie is concerned. And depending on how Celine was hurt, sheād probably spend the whole time berating her about how it was Celineās own fault and didnāt she say that this whole plan was foolish and would only land her in trouble. If anything happened to Esmeā¦ well, safe to say the individual, or even individuals, responsible would not be walking the face of the earth for long.
