Hello blog readers! I'm getting a little bit of a later start to the blog this summer, but I cannot wait to get started sharing what I am going to be doing over the next few months! If any of you followed this Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts summer blog last year, I was posting all over the place about my experiences as a FASET freshman orientation leader and about taking classes! Altogether it was a summer to beat, but this one will give it a nice twist.
This summer of 2013, I will have the opportunity to work at Georgia Tech CEISMC (Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing). As an intern in the PEAKS summer enrichment program, I'll be around campus assisting with the classes for 4th-12th grade students! These programs offer grade level learners to take a step onto GT's campus to explore some of their interests and really take advantage of the opportunities the STEM field has to offer. Who knows, maybe they will go on to continue their education at Tech for higher education? Either way, I'm very blessed and privileged to be working in this office over the summer semester in Atlanta and am even more excited to be able to share my experiences along the way! Tech's campus offers so many programs for the ambitious student on many levels!
