If a setting is assumed to be colorful, my inclination is to flip to monochrome. If a drab setting sparks color in my mind, well, then I must add a punch of color or sharpening- or both! Now, if a frame is interesting- like the one with the the yellow gloves- yet, at the same time it is an everyday kind of shot, I like to bring “light” to the aspects I am drawn to in the first place.
These photos were taken during the International Balloon Fiesta this year (beginning of Oct.)- just shows how far behind one can get in their photo processing when they go on a stint of over 1,000 photos a day for some amazing events!
