the controls can be pretty clunky and frustrating, especially the up and down movements! what i tend to do is scoot far away from the sim, then while i’m pressing ‘w’ to move towards them, i press ‘q’ or ‘e’ slightly to only raise the angle up a little bit. i don’t know if that makes sense but hopefully it helps you! can’t wait to see your content!
Yeah, the Sims 4 default camera is a pain to use. I seem to remember the Sims 3 camera controls being way easier to use, but maybe that’s just nostalgia?
What really helped me was figuring out that I could go into cinematic mode with tab and use the mouse to look wherever I want. Being able to move the camera up and down with Q and E was also such a game-changer when the thing that was annoying me the most the other day was having the camera stuck at awkward angles where I couldn’t properly see what I wanted to take a picture of.
I actually got so comfortable with the camera controls that I ended up taking 160 screenshots earlier 😂. That’ll take some time to sort through.
