I know that Pride Month is half way over but I've been very busy helping people move and helping somebody with something else. I don't want to get into what that is here but I do want to talk about it at some point if only to get my stupid, sentimental thoughts out.
Anyway, I watched this video about a canonically trans protagonist (FTM) in an official Pokemon manga from 1999.
Watching that video made me find out about a nineteen year old trans woman who was killed at school recently. She was a big Pokemon fan and chose the name "Juniper" after the Pokemon professor. I can't get through my thoughts on here without bursting into tears so I'm going to keep them to myself for now.
Cecilily (the Youtuber) started a charity with Lambert House LGBTQ+ Youth Center and she will be matching any donation it gets. (That's what the "Tiltify" link above is for. It doesn't exactly show what exactly the donation is for until you click it.)
I would also suggest donating to The Trevor Project if you can, but since Cecilily is matching whatever donation that her charity gets I figured that I'll make that one the main charity that I highlight.
The Trevor Project is a safe way to talk to professionals about any trouble you might be having at home dealing with your identity. It's a great program that anybody who has access to the internet can use, which is also why I wanted to link it.
