     he was told to not wander on his own until he had a solid hold on his own abilities – which not even his sire knew yet – but feliciano had an exceptionally hard time sitting still. the city positively thrummed with the lights and pulse of her inhabitants, and he tried to content himself with a deep inhale. 

this was the physical plane, a straight forward concept that lacked any sort of obscurity. however, as of now, that was only in theory. staring bitterly against the reflected light off of a vacant barber shop stood marceline. “not good, this is really...” heaving a breathe of anxiety, the walker stares at the looming figure standing after her reflection: seven feet tall with a crooked posture. its rumbles reverberating from the pit of where its throat should be- but sat a metallic safe. this was the thing of her dreams, the one who only exists in the dead of night. and yet.. it is here.. and clearly visible to her eyes alone. but surely this was only in her head? something her sleeping pill could easily relieve. yes, that’s right. she needed to go home.

“this is really not good,” she mutters no less, burying her face within the space of her jacket collar, trudging back to her apartment. all marceline needed was sleep. that’ll solve everything by morning’s light, right? possibly. but the streets were nearly empty, the lights were virtually gone, and whatever else was left of her extraordinary brain seemed to have withered with the late hours of night. then suddenly what she thought was a deserted cityscape proved to be an empty labyrinth. for a moment, the naturally drunken walker realizes: she was far from home, stuck between the concrete of an isolated jungle. where oh where could she be?
