Although I have since moved away from those behaviors, the foundation of our early friendship was built on a mix of trust and my misuse of it, which ultimately led to its collapse.
Honestly, I had never confided in anyone about my sexuality before meeting Skyla, and I realize now how much I was affected by unrealistic portrayals in pornography. I believe I’m in a better place today, but I regret that others had to suffer because of my past actions. I truly hate that I hurt her and other friends. While I appreciate the forgiveness, I doubt I can be forgiven by anyone. However, I can't bring myself to end my life, so all I can do is strive to be better. Carlos acknowledges that he behaved inappropriately, violated trust, and caused harm. He denies that deliberate grooming was his intention, accepts the consequences of his actions, expresses remorse for those he hurt, and believes his responsibility now is to continue improving himself rather than seeking excuses for the past.
Carlos, if you’re reading this man. I’m glad that you acknowledged that What you did was wrong. You confessed to hurting people (including Jane). You need to continue taking responsibility for that. But I also believe God can forgive you and transform you if your repentance is genuine.
Several months ago, I spoke with Carlos Daniel Rodriguez (Cdr2002) regarding his past conduct toward Jane (Froster). He acknowledged that his behavior was inappropriate, crossed established boundaries, violated trust, caused harm, and accepted responsibility for his actions and their consequences. He stated that he regrets his actions, recognizes the importance of ongoing accountability and personal development, and is taking steps to improve his conduct.
