The CSU is seeking applications for the 2018-2019 Chancellor’s Doctoral Incentive Program (CDIP). We are inviting you to attend a special information session on Thursday, November 1st, from noon to 1:30pm, where you can hear from Interim Associate Dean Beverly Grindstaff and former program participants, and learn more about this unique opportunity. Light refreshments will be served. The session will take place in SH 331.
This exemplary program has been in existence for over 20 years, supporting CSU lecturers as they pursue PhD, EdD, and DNP degrees at accredited universities within the United States.
Through June 2018, over 1,300 CDIP recipients successfully earned doctoral degrees and 62% have subsequently obtained employment in CSU instructional faculty positions.
The CDIP is a forgivable loan program that provides $10,000 per year for three years. Each applicant is required to have a full-time tenure/tenure-track CSU faculty advisor, or mentor, who will provide professional mentoring and networking opportunities throughout the student’s educational experience.
If, after the degree is earned, the awardee returns to a full-time or part-time teaching appointment at a CSU campus, the entire loan is forgiven.
Applicants are not required to have been accepted into a doctoral program at the time of their application. The campus deadline for application submission is Friday, February 1, 2018 at 5:00 pm.
Please RSVP by Monday, October 29. If you have questions, contact [email protected] or 408-924-2485.
