     Jessica limped through the city, looking around. She noticed that she was receiving a lot of glances. She would bet that it was because she was covered in cuts and dried blood. She couldn’t really help it. She was taken right from the police station and thrown into this strange world. She hadn’t even been here for an hour and she had seen so many different beings, different races, species... It was all so much to take in.

     She eventually found herself feeling exhausted. She breathed heavily, leaning against a wall of the closest building that she could fine. Last night’s events had been so tiring.. Dragged out of her cabin and thrown down into some abandoned mines.. Not your every day experience.

     She sat alone in silence for a few minutes before she noticed the other walking by her. She looked up, eyes lidded from exhaustion. She didn’t know if she could trust the other, but she knew that she needed help.

Age: 19 (at his current canon point)

Experiences (If applicable): I have a lot of experience with the CCG, you know, considering I’m an investigator! Shinohara-san isn’t… isn’t here, to make sure I behave, but I’m good at what I do. I’ve been killing lots of hungry things on my own, see, and last time, I got almost seventy points before they died.

Abilities: I already know how to use my quinque and… I don’t have Jason back but I do have my knives and Shinohara-san called me a force to be reckoned with once.

Preferred Position: Investigator.

Reason for joining: Uh, because I don’t know what else to do, without the CCG. I’m not good at much besides killing and it helps to have someone to point me to the dangerous things, like ghouls, that need killing.

Ah! It is good to have you on board with the CCG once more, Juuzou. Your talents are much appreciated. As a result, you will be appointed the position of Rank 2 Investigator, and assigned a partner in the near future.

Lot of shit to clean up in sector oo3. Literal and literary. Well, not so literary. Learned folk didn’t hang around these sorts of crowds unless they were looking to start trouble with their big heads and even bigger egos. (You couldn’t make shit sound pretty, no matter how purple the prose.) 

Hancock didn’t know where to start with this place. You found a fucking corpse wherever you stepped. What did people have to complain about when there was plenty to go around? Power hungry pieces of shit. That’s the kind of crap he didn’t want to live long enough to see himself turn into.

But ghouls kinda did live forever.

Ain’t no reverence for the dead, though, he thought to himself as he stripped a corpse clean of its coin and a few bullets without a gun to put to it. Them scientists had left him with some pellet nonsense that’d still hurt like a motherfucker if you aimed it at the right bundle of nerves. Or eye. Humans were so fragile - he had been so fragile.

Didn’t sound like the trail of bodies had stopped for the night: He peered up at the sound of gunfire and narrowed his eyes. Their gangs, his raiders. How could people still be shooting at each other when they had clean water? This city made no sense.

Wanting to knock some sense into a few numbskulls, he stalked in the direction of the turf wars until he stepped in something goopy. Squish, squish. Wow. That there was a half-eaten body. This just got freaky, man.

The trip to the district known as Olympia was not one that could be made on foot. The land, housed in the sky, was only accessible by those with certain ranks under normal circumstance, but special arrangements had been made in this case. It was in the sky, so the only method of reaching it was by aircraft or, if one was lucky enough to possess them, their own wings.

While her wings were not her own, Wendy Marvell did possess a flying companion named Carla. Usually she’d fly with Carla as her wings, but in this case she had to board the plane with the others or else they wouldn’t be able to gain access to the district. Which should have been fine...

Except transportation made her sick in the worst way.

It wasn’t a lack of resolve or anything like that, but rather a condition caused by the type of magic she wielded. Dragon Slayers just couldn’t tolerate transportation, to the point where they were extremely sick riding it. All in all, probably not a great first impression for the others, whom were likely already doubting her leadership ability considering she was only fourteen.

It was a long hour.

Eventually, however, the plane landed. The squad disembarked, and her condition cleared up practically immediately. They’d landed in an unpopulated area of the floating isle, and yet technology was spread before them. In a way, it looked more like a city after being hit by an apocalypse. It was as if, at some point, everyone had just dropped everything they were doing and left. But as a Sky mage, she was sensitive to the clean air at this altitude. It was clean, yet... something seemed off about it.

But that’s what made it worthy to explore, even if the threat of monsters and bandits still lurked.

Twirling, the girl suddenly faced the group with her talking, flying cat, Carla, in her arms.

“Okay! I know we talked a little on the plane...” Well, she tried. “But maybe we should do introductions again? I’m Wendy Marvell, mage of Fairy Tail and leader of this group! As you all know, we’ll be searching for clues about the true nature of the city, as well as artifacts and resources for the city to use.”

“And I’m Carla. Though I’ll be spending most of the trip scouting ahead.”
