honestly i’m a bit upset they never said anything about Camp Camp season 5. like if it wasn’t able to happen because of covid i understand but like...they could’ve said something. is that the problem or is camp camp cancelled? is there ever going to be a season 5?

Out of nowhere an hour ago, RT dropped this live-action skit re-enacting the show’s theme song with the text announcement of 4 whole new episodes.
…That’s a tad bit unexpected. And also smaller than I’m used to!
It appears to me that Camp Camp’s return might be in a drastically reduced form — as in, a lot less episodes than last time. Just like RWBY Chibi when they brought it back for single segments in Neon Konbini, or RT’s Sims 2 machinima series The Strangerhood where they made 4 episodes as a indiegogo stretch goal for their movie Lazer Team.
But perhaps new episodes of season 5 will release in batches? Like, 4 more new episodes in July, and then October? Or maybe that’s just wishful thinking? The great Camp Camp drought has really messed me up.
In "Welcome Back, Campers!" Quartermaster said "One of you will not be here by summer's end"
Imagine if the show would pull off a scenario where one of the campers (or counselors) dies.
I know that they wouldn't do that to their own characters (except if it's like a new character, like CJ) but imagine if they WOULD pull smth like that and literally NOBODY would expect it (the audience)
That would be a brave af move.
Imagine if this would've been foreshadowing o_o
Or on a sidenote, maybe it's referring to either a parent pulling a camper out of the camp in the middle of the summer or someone going home by their own decision.

I heard that if season 5 would've continued, there would have allegedly been a new camper introduced at some point. No news to my knowledge about which it would've been, but what are your "spidey-senses" telling you?

I feel like it could've been either, so idk
I think it would be interesting if it would've been a girl since there aren't as many girl campers.
Im finally watching season 5 of camp camp and im not actually sure im gonna be able to finish it. The new voices (no hate to the VAs themselves, its just my brain) are driving me BONKERS because like!! Nerris and Gwens voices are too high!! Max had a squeak to his voice thats gone now!! It just grates on me :[
