Though very small, Egg is very bold, and has no problem voicing her opinions, often being temperamental or emotional. she has trouble reading social cues, and has a tendency to be overly trusting. Curious about her surroundings, she likes to wander, and often gets herself into trouble as a result.
All in all, though very smart for her age, due to being in the circus, her growth has been stunted, and she's been nine years old for years. She's still a child at the end of the day.
By the time Pomni has arrived at the circus, Egg tends to keep to herself, often being distant, confused, and quiet.
Egg was the first player to be brought to the Circus. Her father created the game, and being within the ideal target audience, she was chosen to be a playtester for the game.
Upon first putting the headset on, no one is aware that anything has gone wrong. she's chillin, experiencing the game, and Caine shows up to greets her.
Something or other goes wrong with the game (still waiting for that to be confirmed by canon), and Egg is trapped inside. In the real world, she's put into a coma by it.
Understandably, Egg gets upset because she wants to leave but can't, and Caine soon finds that unlike the other developers in the game- when Egg is under mental duress, she glitches, and so does the circus around her, which is implied to cause stress on her body in real life.
Caine begins the daily adventures to keep everyone distracted so that they stays sane and, you know, alive. Slowly but surely Egg gets used to her new life, and now having been in the circus for years, she so too starts forgetting who she was before, and the difference between reality and simulation.
The abstractions of the other circus members takes a heavy toll on her, so in an effort to keep her stable, he tries offering her less action-packed, more retreat-like adventures.
Unfortunately, distraction doesn't fix the root issue, and Caine is slowly losing his grip on her as she falls further into grief and confusion. He desperately tries to keep her in one piece, but there's only so much he can do for her with his limited and mostly incorrect knowledge of human- let alone child- psychology.
Egg eventually succumbs to her distress, but Caine manages to reel her back in, leaving her only half-abstracted. She can't speak clearly, her voice coming out glitchy, her avatar is corrupted, and she has a much harder time regulating emotions than she did before.
She still recognizes Caine, but is so temperamental and spacy that she doesn't have much left to her beyond that.
Because she's not as violent as the other abstracteds, and the fact he's the only one who can touch her without getting corrupted, Caine keeps her hidden in his office/in the code, away from the others. He visits her regularly to make sure she's not spreading her abstractedness to the rest of the circus.
Eventually, girl starts eating pieces of code/random objects, so he moves her to the recycling bin to act as sort of a paper shredder so she doesn't eat anything important.

Puntable - Jax often kicks her across the room (sometimes at her request), and it sends her flying. when she hits something, she makes a squeaky toy sound.

Glitch Out - When she's upset, she glitches out, giving her the ability to clip through things
-The world around her glitching when she's distressed is similar to Caine, because, being the first, and there the longest, her code is woven just as deeply into the game as Caine's is.
-In this AU, Caine is the creator of the game
-During the series itself, Egg has already abstracted.
-Egg has been in the circus slightly longer than Kinger, both having been stuck for around 18 years.
-Egg is still able to speak, but doesn't often, nor clearly.
-If Bubble is Caine's shoulder devil, Egg is the angel, attempting to act as a voice of reason, or at least as much as a 9yo can.
