Ok ok ok, I'm sure I'm not the first person to say this, but if there's a The Magnus Archives fan out there looking for a veritable buttload of animation project ideas, like... someone needs to make a bunch of animatics to IDKHOW's album Razzmatazz. It's too perfect.
"Leave Me Alone"- clearly this would be Peter Lukas "Mad IQs"- I'd do this one to Gertrude blowing up the rituals "Nobody Likes the Opening Band"- Grifter's Bone lmfao "New Invention"- JON. THIS ONE IS ABOUT JON AND THE EYE and the Web near the end obviously ahehehe "From the Gallows"- Deffo Mary Keay and her husband :) "Clusterhug"- I'd love to see a thing about Jane Prentiss's origins, as the Cult of the Lightless Flame watches and burns down the apartment. "Sugar Pills"- The Distortion, because is Helen really helping? (no) "Kiss Goodnight"- Any or all of the ships honestly. This is a freebee, anyone can throw a ship over this song and have it perfect. "Lights Go Down"- Imo this would be perfect over Julia Montauk's night shift job, where she slowly realizes the people she's working around are actually worshiping the Dark, before she goes full hunter. "Need You Here"- I like this as being over Melanie-Georgie and Jon-Martin, but also with a loooot of the Admiral thrown in. Because this song isn't strictly about romantic connection, more familial, and the Admiral is a perfect lil guy. "Door"- Eh. Longing with Jon and Martin. Easy-peasy. "Razzmatazz"- Jonah Magnus, his many connections, and his plan to end the world slowly coming together. Bonus points if you have Tim doing the saxophone solos.
