I wanted to make a BK-like cave song for awhile and well here it is.
It’s not my favorite thing I’ve made but it gave me the chance to use Banjo instruments so it was fun nonetheless.
Speaking of which you can use Rare Witch Project’s BK+DK64 soundfont to create Banjo songs yourself; you might need to flip through the thread pages for a bit though since it updated over time.
For the last week or so I’ve been trying to recreate a song I made in Mario Paint Composer when I was in 8th(?) grade that used AWPWR’s MP NES Composer Soundfont. At first I thought I would use Genesis/Mega Drive sounds, then I made a midi, then I got really stumped and stopped. :/ Then it occurred to me that the NES Soundfont was a .sf2 like any other soundfont and I decided to import it into Madtracker and just make a copy of the original so that I could have it forever. Mario Paint doesn’t make files...It’s really...weird....
I also fixed some little things with the actual song. To be honest I’m surprised I didn’t have to fix that much; I think I had like a musical renaissance with Mario Paint at the end of middle school. What was up with that me.
