As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.
Proverbs 26:2
Causeless
Okay, so I appreciate the peaceful rioting going on, I do - however, I just don't fully understand it.
To my knowledge, it's about people rioting against the 1% of the population - the population who make yearly salaries in hours, the population of people that own 80% of everything ever. The concept of the riot is to force people to find a solution to help their fellow men and women make more moolah. More than minimal wage, more than crappy benefits and more than what they're making now.
You see, that all makes sense to me.
What I don't get are the extremists that, while rioting against the 1%, were mourning the loss Steve Jobs
How does that make any sense whatsoever?Â
Steve Jobs is the 1%. Without capitalism, you'd have never known who Steve Jobs was. In fact, Steve Jobs was more than just the 1%, I would put money on him being on the higher end of that 1%. Look, mourning the death of a genius is something I can appreciate, but you can't tell me for a moment that he was any different from the 1% people are rioting against. Here's a Wired article on the living conditions of Apple employees. tl;dr: they suck balls. 17 people committed suicide as a direct result of working for Apple.
At most companies, the red-faced, tyrannical boss is an outdated archetype, a caricature from the life of Dagwood. Not at Apple. Whereas the rest of the tech industry may motivate employees with carrots, Jobs is known as an inveterate stick man. Even the most favored employee could find themselves on the receiving end of a tirade. Insiders have a term for it: the "hero-shithead roller coaster." Says Edward Eigerman, a former Apple engineer, "More than anywhere else I've worked before or since, there's a lot of concern about being fired."

-WiredÂ
So, mourning for Steve Jobs aside, I really don't get the purpose, the true goal, for the rioting. I get why, but I don't. I told you why they're doing it up above, but what do they want in the end? For the more reasonable people - and yes, they're reasonable - their goal seems to lay in the area of "more benefits, higher wages." But for the others, who don't seem don't seem to fully grasp the concept more than I do, are just saying "down with capitalism."
I liked the movie the Trotksy too, but this is just absurd. If not Capitalism, then what? Really, then what? Because Communism only works in theory. You don't need to take my word for it - look in history, look in books, look in the internet. Great on paper, horrible in practice.Â
I agree with more even distribution, but trying to take down the only, frequently working, economic system is a lost cause, and a bad idea. I hate to come off as some arrogant, "you're all idiots," asshole, and that's truly not my goal here - my goal is simply to say that maybe they should redefine their objectives here. From what I've seen, there's just a lot of kids that are rebelling without a cause.
As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.
