She can’t remember what it was that SELINA had said that coaxed the laugh from her throat ( it could’ve been anything, really ), but it doesn’t matter now. Giggle is CUT - OFF by a pair of lips against hers, shades of scarlet mingling with each other. She’s surprised at first, but is soon reciprocal of the action, pale fingers coming up to tangle in the other’s hair. She’s not giving up an OPPORTUNITY like this. After what seems simultaneously like FOREVER and NOT LONG ENOUGH, she pulls away, smirk mischievous as ever as ocean eyes flick across THE CAT’S features.

     despite having been named for a feline, diana finds that selina doesn’t squirm half as much. she knows animals as much as women, but for a time, the woman next to her mystified. she understands more now, effort expended by choice, alll of which led to the island of paradise they walked through. she is without the famed armor, covered in a flowing white dress that sought to combat themyscira’s heat. it was late, however, the path ahead of them illuminated by moonlight and torch. the princess pauses outside of the grand structure large statue and entrance to stone interior and offerings beyond it.  “ this is the temple of athena. “  she offers, gently stroking thumb over the back of selina’s hand in her own. diana’s following comment is one entirely playful, accompanied by a smirk  —  a product of being able to peel away layers of stress in the place of her birth. “ i would encourage you not to remove anything here, lest you invoke the wrath of the gods. “
