Cómo estás guys. So Today I'm gonna review a book that's been my favourite since I had started reading few years ago. 🙊 • 𝕊𝕪𝕟𝕠𝕡𝕤𝕚𝕤 •

ONE OF THE BOYS

What girl doesn't want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn't just surrounded by hot guys, though-she leads them as the captain and quarterback of her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys and that's just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university.

But everything she's ever worked for is threatened when Ty Green moves to her school. Not only is he an amazing QB, but he's also amazingly hot. And for the first time, Jordan's feeling vulnerable. Can she keep her head in the game while her heart's on the line?

I've loved this book since I had started reading Y/A contemporary and it was amazing honestly. I loved the characters, the storyline, the humour, the sarcasm everything!!! .

In Miranda Kenneally’s “Catching Jordan,” Jordan Woods is not your average high school senior thinking about graduation and prom. No, she’s the star quarterback and captain of the football team with her sights set on an athletic scholarship to the University of Alabama. Jordan is strong, smart, passionate, and driven. 

So recently I came to the realization that I have started a new series without knowing it. Thankfully, I read the books in the right order, so here’s the first one in the series!

“Catching Jordan” by Miranda Kenneally is a fun and exciting story about a female quarterback at Hundred Oaks High School. The genre of all of Kenneally’s books are romance novels, so obviously there is a little bit of love thrown into all of these books as well!! 

When starting a new year and season, Jordan begins the year as normal, going to school, practice, to hang out with her teammates around town, and then home. One day a new boy moves into town and begins to threaten Jordan’s position as varsity quarterback and captain of her team. 

As the story goes on, Jordan begins to become closer and closer with this new boy, but then later realizes who she’s really meant to be and be with.

I really enjoyed this book and I am currently on the fifth one as we speak! All of these books are more of companion books, seeing as they still take place at Hundreds Oaks High School, but all of the novels include different people who go there. 

The order that the books go in are as follows: “Catching Jordan”, “Stealing Parker”, “Things I Can’t Forget”, “Stealing Savannah”, “Breathe, Annie, Breathe”, and “Jesse’s GIrl”.

I am very excited to read all of them and hope other people can love them as well!!

Overall  I enjoyed the book tremendously. I enjoyed the whole idea of Jordan being “one of the guys”.  I loved her, she’s this strong willed character who’s searching for her fathers acceptance yet she doesn’t let anyone see how much it hurts her. She’s the epitome of awesome.

She’s driven by her own expectations, not anyone else’s and that’s to be admired. She says what’s on her mind and does what she wants because she’s no longer afraid of what they say about her, that type of confidence is the kind that everyone should strife for.

The fact that she goes against gender roles was something that drew me into the book as well. As a female rights advocate, seeing a book where the girl kicks the guys ass at their own sport is great!!

I loved Henry! he’s the ultimate best friend and the cutest boyfriend. I liked Ty, but he’ll never compare to Henry. I’m glad for Ty though, he made it possible for Jordan to see that  she belonged with Henry(:
