it's taking me forever to finish it but i really want to see Marika with 2 full braids and a new dress (the noble set!), then she and Messmer go on a nice little trip to Rauh ruins, so she can pick herbs and other materials for the blessing flask... get some sun ! forest exploration ! Messmer having a heart attack every two seconds because animals flock to her and some keep trying to munch on her hair and undo the braids 🥹🥹

We don't have much info on Godwyn's canon personality, but one thing stands out to me -- despite being immersed in the corruption and oppression of the Golden Order, he maintains his integrity and protects those who need him, even those who the Order would condemn. The two most prominent examples being, of course, the ancient dragons and his half-siblings Malenia and Miquella.

Despite being born into a deeply flawed system, Godwyn maintains his integrity and protects those who could not otherwise protect themselves.

I feel like Godwyn managed to pull a few strings regarding The Golden Order. Especially since it's written in the lore that the dragon cult was able to co-exist with the Golden Order. I don't think that was the truth before Godwyn convinced his mom to end the war with the Dragons and let him and Fortisaxx be buddies. How could she say no to her perfect boy? He did his job protecting Leyedell and the Erdtree, so mama let him keep epic ancient dragon friend.

I personally HC that after Marika and Radagon realized that the twins weren't suitable to take Marika's place due to their ailments, a lot of attention was taken off them, and all the pressure was put on Ranni. While Marika and Radagon may have let their diminished hope in them taking the throne show, Godwyn would never show it. He was just happy to be a big brother, and he wanted them to not feel like they were burdens. I don't think it would be wrong to say Godwyn was essentially their guardian for a time before they left for the Haligtree.

It highly depends on who they are what they did, but the general answer is yes. He did give Fortisaxx a 2nd chance after all, why wouldn't he offer it to another?

As the Golden Prince, he far more forgiving and willing to give others 2nd chances and befriend them. He isn't called the Golden Retriever of the demi-god's for nothing.

As the Prince of Death, he is less trusting of others and less likely to give a 2nd chances. If you're a stranger or even just an acquaintance to him, don't bet on another chance if you cross him. He's more likely to give you a second chance if you're working for him and prove your loyalty. For siblings, he will give 2nd, 3rd, even 4th chances.

This young woman named Millicent has recently come to my attention. I know not of how she was born, but a third party has told me she claims to be related to Malenia. While I was initially skeptical because I never knew Malenia to be romantically involved with anyone, this girl looks... so familiar to her. Fiery red hair, fair skin, the same scars from Scarlet Rot. She even speaks and moves like Malenia. It truly perplexes me.

Perhaps she knows someone about Malenia that I do not. She appears to hath received an unalloyed needle. How she received one is beyond me.

A meeting with Millicent is likely in order, maybe we canst make a deal and exchange information. Who knows, she could be mine niece after all.

In a matter of seconds his body fully tensed. The air in his lungs ceased to move, burning his throat as he held it in to prevent a yelp. The heat that pooled towards his cursemark reached a fever pitch that day, making it all the more sensitive to touch. Even the softest of brushes felt like a knife carving him like a fish all over again. The skin burned and seared at the slightest friction.

His body jolted forward, pivoting to face the force that touched his cursemark. His heart pounded in his ears as he faced his "attacker". Upon seeing their face, he knew he could let his guard down. He knew that chances are he wasn't in any danger, but he couldn't seem to help it. His body wouldn't let him relax until he knew he was in no danger.

He sat back down, his lungs finally allowing him to let go of the breathe he had been holding. He placed a shaky hand on his chest to slow down his heartbeat.

Not really a boogeyman so to say, but I remember reading a HC somewhere that when Godwyn was a little kid he was afraid of Serosh for a time, so for a time he wouldn't go near his dad and I just took that HC, and ran with it.

It was the fact that Serosh was a big scary monster on his daddy's back, and the fact that he would occasionally roar and snarl while biting the shit out of Godfrey just scared little Godwyn and made him run crying to mama.

But with the combined work of Godfrey and Marika, they eventually exposed Godwyn enough to Serosh for his little baby brain to realize he's not gonna eat him. Godwyn would very shyly give Serosh little pets on his main and would flinch every time Serosh exhaled.

For the fear headcanon: Most of his fears are based on his trauma (go figure). Despite being the Prince of Death, a man who should be well acquainted with darkness, he doesn't really like being in dark areas. Dimly or moody-lit rooms are okay(ish), but dark and pitch-black rooms are a no-go for him. His reason? He was murdered in a dark room, so darkness = easy target for assassins. Safe to say he has sentry torches in every room of his home. He also has many fears and anxiety around Fia. His main fear is that Fia gets injured or killed while he's not around. Don't get me wrong, Godwyn is a 10'11 pillar made of STONE compared to her, he's very afraid of accidentally hurting her, especially in bed. However, Godwyn is mortified at the thought of something terrible happening to her while he's not there. It was so bad at the beginning of his new life (after being reborn as the Prince of Death) he kept Fia locked in a room with him within the Roundtable Hold while she was recovering. Fia was essentially the only person he could trust once he was reborn, so he protected her like his life depended on it. He did slowly warm up to let her free roam outside of their room, but it took a lot of work on his end to let her do that.

For the sleep headcanon: Sleep eludes him. A lot.

There are nightmares, and that's pretty standard. Then there are his occasional bouts of sleep paralysis and sleep talking. During his episodes of sleep paralysis, he tends to wake up while trying to fight off a force that isn't actually there. He'll usually wake up sweating, dry throat, and with some aches in his back, stomach, or chest. Sometimes he wakes up weeping. He considers this an improvement only because he used to wake up screaming after some pretty horrific nightmares.
