Whats your advice for someone who's considering trying out voice acting but lacks confidence?
Hm, that’s a really good question.It’s a complicated subject to give advice on, but honestly, the main thing I can think to say is just that “everyone starts somewhere.” Maybe not the most exciting piece of advice in the world, but it really is true. It’s totally understandable to lack confidence if you’ve never done voice acting before, and even understandable to not be very good at it. (I mean, myself included. Have you heard me in those old Halo Machinimas I used to make a couple years back? …Actually, if you haven’t, don’t look for them). But if you want to start, the most essential thing you have to do, which is, unfortunately, also the hardest part, is to allow yourself to do it anyway, even if it doesn’t feel like you’re doing a good job at first.Because after a while – but quicker than you probably think – you’ll be better. A lot better.
