Second question!! Them around new crushes…

Cassandra quickly gets restless. She can’t stop thinking of you and has no idea what to think of how it’s all making her feel. She’s curt but polite until deciding to take back control of the situation. Then she spoils you. …At the beginning, at least. Sweet words, lingering touches, and luxurious gifts. All to begin ensnaring you. And then you start reacting positively and she pushes you away again because wTF?? NO. STOP. And then she doubles down with getting it (and you) all under her control again. Catperson Cassandra is similar but a bit more smug and teasing about it all. Her facade fades into control much more quickly

Jasper noticeably straightens whenever he sees you around and is entirely focused on you. Like, to an unsettling degree. He’s not very expressive and usually has a bit of a resting bitch face, but he means well? Maybe? He starts trying to track you, but it’s from a distance. As a catperson, he also follows you, but more blatantly. If you still tolerate/approach him enough, he’ll try to groom your hair or bury his face in your neck. …He’s also the most likely to just try to sit on your lap. No warnings given.

Mica tries to stay close and shower you in affection. He may also try to give you expensive gifts to buy your affection until you tell him to stop. Then he’ll tone it down. He’s very fond of touching you in whatever ways you’ll accept and is especially fond of straightening your appearance. As a catperson, that fondness for grooming you/seeking various forms of physical contact is even stronger. He does a lot of trilling and purring (seeming pleasant and friendly is what he’s supposed to do to make people like him, so that should work on you, right~?) He also tries to impress you by catching things!! …What do you mean you don’t like dead squirrels..? :( …Maybe a nice, pretty leaf will work better next time?

Ira just sort of gravitates towards you but doesn’t initiate any interactions. They’re happy to just exist near you at the start… They do a lot of freezing up if you try talking to them and are very quiet. If they’re forced into a discussion by some people near you, they may sometimes try to offhandedly mention that they’re single. …Just in case you overhear. Catperson Ira’s jumpiness around you is pretty obvious and they WILL try to escape if you stare at them too intensely, but they still try to creep into your general vicinity if you don’t put too much of your attention on them

Aww, cute ask~ I think they’re all pretty similar to their human forms, but a few minor details are added

For your last pair of questions:

Yarn - Cassandra would be vaguely interested/tempted by yarn if you wiggle it. She’d be more enthusiastic about balls of yarn, but only if she was alone. Mica would play with it for a bit and then get bored. Ira could definitely be into playing with yarn with a bit of encouragement that it’s okay to do so.

Praise - Yes, they all like praise!! Mica less so, but he always at least pretends to enjoy it for you. Cassandra drinks it in and is very smug if it’s surface level praise. If you’re telling her she’s ‘good’ or anything that isn’t surface level, she gets flustered and puts her walls up before quickly dismissing herself. (But she still likes it.) Ira obviously instantly folds for praise if they trust you, but is otherwise wary of it

I’ve been questioning shifting Ira in a general from music to something else. I know little about composing/playing music, so it may change to another art form I or a friend know better

(More utc. The part involving me/my sona as a catperson is at the very end of this post since I am not a yan nor really a character? Feel free to skip that part if you’re uninterested~!!)

I’ve been meaning to write this, so I finally did~ :)

- Ira is rather scarce at first

- You appear with your boxes, introduce yourselves, and Ira offers to help you bring things in

- If you accept, they follow whatever instructions you give them on where to put boxes (gotta make a good first impression!!), and, if you ask for further help, unpacking a few things. They otherwise promptly disappear so they don’t get in your way

- Mostly stays shut in their room unless necessary. For you, it essentially feels like you have your own apartment. And Ira is fine with this arrangement, happy to let you do whatever you want as long as they don’t need to handle a confrontation

- They often hasten to leave when they hear you nearby, not wanting the stress of an encounter with someone who is essentially a stranger

- When you do catch a glimpse of them, their ears are either pinned back or perked up, adjusting to stay as aware of their surroundings as possible. Their tail is kept close to their body and they look either trapped or ready to bolt. If you enter through the only exit, they freeze as if you suddenly won’t see them, waiting for you to leave or slipping past you as soon as they can

- Then you stumbled across them, sat slumped in the corner of the couch with their knees tucked to their chest, quiet and still. It takes you a moment to realize that they’re asleep. Looking around, you notice a dead laptop, an empty tea mug, and a pile of crumpled napkins

- It’s the calmest you’ve ever seen them. They have dark circles under their eyes and their brows are slightly furrowed, but their body seems so much more relaxed…

- Maybe you thought they were fully asleep and got tempted to touch their soft hair and ears. Or simply thought it could be a playful way to break the ice between the two of you or try to show Ira you’re not someone to fear. If you DID attempt that, good news!

- You get rewarded with a hazy chirp as you scratch behind their ear. They lean into your touch and a soft purr starts to emerge. Ira’s violet eyes half open, unfocused for a few seconds as they languidly rub their cheek against the back of the couch. When their eyes land on you, they abruptly freeze. They barely even breathe.

- If you had stopped after noticing their reaction, they’d feel conflicted. They don’t like that you touched them without their permission, but you did stop when you saw their discomfort? You can see the cogs turn in their head for a minute as they stare at you with a complicated expression. It… it felt nice. Your hands are warm. You seem apologetic. Ira feels cozy right now and so very drained… A bit longer shouldn’t hurt, right..? They tilt their head down for you. Then, after a moment, very hesitantly: “…More, please..?”

- If you keep going, they accept that this will keep going until you’re done. Be nice and gentle and they’ll start to get a bit more curious. You seem nice enough… You didn’t hurt them. You didn’t react negatively to their presence. Everything is still okay.

- Either way, they’ll start appearing a bit more, their tail flicking uncertainly before they approach you each time, but they start to trust that you’re safe

- You don’t need to be the one constantly initiating conversations anymore. When you arrive at the apartment, there’s a solid chance they’ll slip into whatever room you’re in to ask about your day or share something about their own. You’ll come back to a meal prepared for you every now and then or a tidied space.

- Ira starts inviting you to watch shows or play games with them. They’ve gotten used to you petting them and have decided they like cuddling under blankets with you. While they won’t outright ask, they may comment that they’re a bit chilly or try to rest their head on your shoulder. On days they’re particularly stressed, they just. Stare at you. No words, just patiently waiting for your invitation or refusal.

- If you hadn’t touched them at all and just uncertainly watched them, they’d still stir from your sudden appearance

- They immediately stiffen, ears pressing back as they curl up tighter. Ira forces a smile. “Uh, h-hi..!Sorry, I-I was just… I didn’t mean to fall asl-asleep, it was supposed to just be a break… Sorry…” …They don’t move, frozen in place under your gaze

- And then nothing bad happens. You’re understanding. You tell them to go get some rest. It’s a tempting thought and they can’t help caving, forcing their body off of the couch to wander to bed with a final apology. While they warm up to you a bit more slowly this way, it’s a much more stable amount of trust. They appreciate you seeing them in a vulnerable position and not immediately exploiting it.
