       BEING IN HER HOMEMADE CHAT SUIT  isn’t the same as being ladybug;  but with his mask on her head,  settled behind her felt ears,  marinette can’t help but feel a newbound  . . .  CONFIDENCE  that she gets,  usually as ladybug.  hand is on her hips,  covered head to toe in skin-tight,  black clothing before blue eyes spot  HIM.    “  hey,  adrien  !   ”    she’ll greet brightly,  head tilting up at him as she puts on her mask for the  FULL EFFECT    (   and  a burst of confidence   ).    “   can you guess who i am  ?   ”   |  @cataclysmiquc  plotted  !

"i don’t know, adrien, is it?? because we’re surrounded by the perpetually single and the world seems to be on the verge of ending a lot. maybe they’re connected,” she says dryly. no, she doesn’t remotely believe that, just as she doesn’t remotely believe how blind he can be to obvious flirting. “you know, you’ve known me a lot longer than most people, but that was terrible advice. ‘good things come to those who wait’ is a lie made up by pathetic people who don’t know how to get what they want. and it’s not like i’m trying to find my husband, geez!”

             a finger pops up,  she’ll wiggle it in his face with a narrowing of her eyes.     “   you.  you ate the last cookie that i  CLEARLY  had my eye on,  agreste,   ”   she informs him,  plopping down in the seat next to him with a yawn.  for once,  she’s too tired to be concerned by distance;  chloé waking her up at 3am could do that.    /  @cataclysmiquc  from  here.

               “    hey,  you’re a  new face  !   ”    well,  sort of;  but the only person ladybug preferred to know how long she was here for was chat.  she’ll put on a bright smile,  blue eyes lighting up with interest.  another bug-based hero  ?  oooh,  how she wished  alya  was here to capture it.     “   on a scale 1-10,  how weird would it be to take a selfie based off of the fact that we’re  both red  and based off of bugs  ?   ”    and a gloved finger will wiggle at chat.    “   oh,  that’s chat noir.  i’m ladybug.   ”

“Um, well, anything!” She offers enthusiastically, although truthfully she’s a bit nervous. They’ve only had one real conversation but she feels like he’s just as open as she is, and she’s heard so much about him from Marinette. “But, I guess, technically I was talking about that.” Star gestures with her chin at the game nearest them. Whether he had intended to play it or not, she needed an excuse to start a conversation. “I’m great at whacking moles!!”

“i miss home.” lace hasn’t actually admitted it since arriving. it wasn’t like she missed her actually house or anything - she had rarely even stayed there - but she missed thedas as a place. at least she had understood things their and it had felt possible to unravel all of the problems slowly. she had been making a difference. “we didn’t have any sort of technology but i would gladly give it all up just to go back.”

“i appreciate it but i don’t believe you are able to help me.” the words aren’t harsh, just spoken like it’s a fact. which it is, cole doesn’t think anything can be done about his situation and he had accepted it years ago. he has to fight the urge to dig into the other’s memory, to see if he needs help. “is there any way that i can help you?”
