I’m sorry it took me a long time to answer you I got the notification late at night and fully forgot to answer you in the morning 😭 Adore Kara but don’t know her that well outside from the recent movie, I really want to dig into the comics to find out more about her!

Oooh fun questions!

My favorite trope/genre is hurt/comfort for sure. Specifically tending to injuries after a battle — genuinely The Trope of All Times. Weirdly enough I'm not really into sickfics at all though. I also really really love Forced Proximity in all its forms, especially if we're talking two characters in a cramped space. Only One Bed is really good too obviously but I feel like it's a touch overdone at this point.

As for tropes I dislike, I'm actually really really over Enemies to Lovers at this point. 99% of the time it's there to generate sexual tension, but the characters never really get to the loving each other part, if that makes sense? Like they just want to fuck each other the whole time, and there's banter, but in a lot of romance these days I feel like we get almost exclusively desire, the whole time. Very little actual feelings, and when we do we can't really tell where it came from.

Also anything involving Fate/Soulmates. It's the same problem really, but it just feels so forced to me, if that makes sense? Like you're telling me these characters don't have a choice, so I'm not interested in reading the romance. They have no agency anyway. Ironically enough, I hate most stuff to do with reincarnation as well, because again, that's a shortcut to skip the falling in love part most of the time. One thing I love about Inuyasha is that it actually does something new and interesting with the trope, since Inuyasha falling for Kagome has very little to do with Kikyo, if anything at all.
