Possibility4Joy Project Update
We're at about 10% of goal and we need you help. We need to keep spreading and giving if we can. On a personal note, it's been a rough patch for me of late, and I know that's been made more difficult for many. If we can, in some way, find a way to help make this happen, spread some goodness and joy and hope? I think it would go a long way to put some light in the world. Official Possibility4Joy 2016 Project Launch
The Possibility for Joy Project Last year fans from around the world came together to sponsor a group of children through the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. We provided Christmas Joy for 11 kids in need. This year, though Castle lives on only in our hearts and fan creativity, we want to do it a again. Can we hit 12 Angels this year? I think we can! Fundraising begins on November 2, 2016 and runs through November 21, 2016. Then, when Angel Tree kicks off on November 11, 2016 Angels will be collected for sponsorship, with the number of Angels determined by the funds raised. All proceeds received by the organizing sponsors will go directly toward holiday gifts for our sponsored Angels. Between November 25, 2016 and the first week of December 2016, the organizing sponsors will shop for the items on Angels wish lists. Detailed records will be kept of every purchase, as follows: Angel 1 - M/F - Age Gift 1: $ Gift 2: $ etc... Angel 1 Total: $ Along with photographs of the gifts for each Angel, we will feature documentation of entire process of the collection and the drop off of gifts, so that no matter where you are, you can be a part of the journey. Project progress will be documented on the tumblr and Twitter accounts of this project, and questions or requests to see records may be sent to our email account. There is no gift too big or small. Together, we as a fandom community can spread thanks and love this holiday season, a reminder that even at the darkest of times, there is the possibility for joy. A Very Personal THANK YOU for Possibility4Joy I wanted to thank you all for the work you have done on this project so far. As we enter the last day to raise funds, we have hit just above half way to the very ambitious goal - and that’s amazing. It means so much to me, and I’d like to tell you why. I’m an optimist by nature, it’s true. So it isn’t a surprise that the holidays are my favorite time of year. It’s one reason my wedding anniversary falls just a few short days Christmas. Then, a few years ago, everything changed. Just three days after Christmas 2012, we lost my grandmother - someone who had been mother, father, best friend, and a big Castle cheerleader. (think cute HAPPY CASTLE MONDAY!!! texts every week from a tech challenged octogenarian. And juicy after ep gab sessions. She was the best.) so, what it always been our most joyful season is now often blanketed in grief. Typically my way of coping has to make a big deal of the holiday season, loads of giving and lights and trips. But it’s been a really rough year. The easiest way to sum it up, would be a lot of tension and very little funds. Throw in a pretty healthy dose of tension in the fandom, where I often go to decompress – well you can guess it’s been hard. A month ago, the whole thing seemed desolate to me. Our holidays looked bleak, especially having to cut back my beloved Angel Tree giving project that has become a highlight of the season. And then, you guys happened. We were looking for a positive project, I got a note about need, threw it to you all - and magic happened. This is happening, and it’s going to be great. Because of you, because of us. You’ve stepped up, yet again. I’m here comes the especially fun part: getting a group of Angels, and finding out their wishes and picking out and shopping for their gifts. Expect that to be fully documented on the project blog! So much fun to come. And we will spread that possibility for joy to kids. You’re gonna get to be their heroes. You’ve already been mine. You are the embodiment of every day magic, and for me? The fandom that saved Christmas.
I really want to make this happen again in 2016. If I set it up, are you with me? Can we make Christmas happen for some kids and show we still have our Fandom Magic?
Ur much more 'visible' n the Castle fandom than I, so hopefully by sharing this w/u it'll get more notoriety. Went 2 buy stuff on Amazon & found out that if u shop thru smile-dot-amazon-dot-com, u can choose an org & they'll donate 0.5% of ur purchase 2 the charity. "How is this Castle-related?" u ask? Alternative Travel Project is on there! U can choose/change ur charity @ any time, but I thought it was a neat thing to share (Im easily excited lol) Good juju all around no matter the charity! :)

Stana is never on TMZ's radar. Do you think this story was fed to them purposefully to drum up publicity for contract negotiations? Like "look at these fans I have to put up with. My life and my family are in danger." I know she is truly being harassed by this person but the timing is suspicious of this story coming out. Thoughts?

No I don’t think it was "leaked" for the purposes of contract negotiations. In the first place, it became public knowledge because a criminal complaint was filed with police, which is public record. TMZ is an absolute rag. They like things they deem salacious, and someone on TV being cyber stalked fits that bill.
Second, If you’re going to spill something for contract reasons, that’s not what you’re hoping it will go. And really there’s nothing about a situation like this that would do anything other than drive a person away from the notoriety of it seems to be causing the problem.
And guys, in this last few days we have of their filming season? I’d suggest sending all the love you can, The kind, grateful, non-stalker variety. Because, if this is the end of the story, they deserve our thanks for eight years. And if not? They deserve to hear good reasons to stick around and deal with all of the craziness.
Forget the gossip and make that your mission this week.
