did you see that some glitter phone cases have been recalled? it’s a only one specific brand.

@castielicarus, I hadn’t seen this specific story about the recall. It’s been a little while since we’ve discussed this, but I am always glad when it comes back on my radar, just in case people don’t know. I didn’t, the first time around!

The brand mentioned in the article is MixBin Electronics, the cases in question for the iPhone 6, 6s and 7, but there’s been cases of this all around the world for a variety of phone cases and models. I don’t believe this problem is exclusive to MixBin products, and anyone owning or buying a glitter phone case (despite being fabulously stimmy) or any similar device should be careful to avoid resting the phone against their body or skin, or leaving the phone in any circumstance where the case can break, crack or be crushed.

I don’t know of any brand of glitter-and-liquid-filled cases that have been confirmed as absolutely safe, and I’d lean towards not purchasing or replacing with something safer.

I’ve also spoken about similar fluid-and-glitter containing stim toys, like spinners. A fabulous follower, AER, submitted this post featuring several on AliExpress, but because spinners are like to be subjected to the same dropping and handling as a phone case, I’d use them with similar caution, just in case. As someone who has often fallen asleep with a spinner or Tangle in my hands, I think it could be potentially dangerous to do this with a glitter-and-liquid-filled spinner, and I’d rather be unnecessarily careful than burnt.

the emperor: what are some names that you like? for me, nothing really. i exist w/o a name. any title you could call me would be equal cause i dont relate to any names. but not being dramatic, i like L+I sounds, especially paired w R sounds. Riley, lily, olivia, eli, stuff like that.

the hierophant: do you believe in ghosts? *always sunny voice* not physically. (this got long, sorry) nah but like, sorta? i dont believe in, like, a force w a solid consciousness interacting w our world in a definitive way. and i dont believe in any religious-type places where souls go after death to continue existing afterwards. i dont know if i even believe in dead people being able to watch over those they left behind, even though i feel keenly at times both that they can or they can’t. but i can believe in the world acting in a way that a person who died would’ve wanted, in slight measures, w/o consistency or physical strength. some sort of cosmic force righting the playing field in the name of those dead, whether or not they have a hand in it. people being born w tendencies/behaviors like someone has passed w/o explanation but in a way that makes those left behind v reminded, random events that seem like a dead person is responding to something, sudden feelings of warmth or protection for no reason when you think of someone who passed, that type of stuff. i talk to my mom a lot, even though most of the time i really dont believe she can hear or even that it matters, and there have been some events in my life that truly felt like my mom reaching out to me again. but in the end, like my answer ab magic in my last post, i dont expect to ever get definitive proof or answers ab it.

judgement: do you enjoy school? yeah i am :). i mean, classes arent exactly fully my definition of fun and i def stressed. but its slightly better than hs, honestly, if only by being away from home and everyone/everything thats gotten under my nerves for so many years. classes are easier at times and harder at other times. i have more time to myself, im making okay money, classes at least keep me from feeling completely useless and lacking a purpose since i have to go to them, and ive found people that id probably die for lol. i dunno, ive been able to love people before but its just so nice how it is and who im around rn.
