So I was just watching Doug Walker's review of Cars 2 for Disneycember, and...y'know, I think I'm in a huge minority when I say that, not only did I LIKE Cars 2, I thought it was something of an improvement over the first one.
I actually legitimately got invested in Mater as a character, whereas in the first one he just annoyed the hell out of me. I CARED about his friendship with Lightning...probably because I know what it feels like to constantly worry that you're not a good friend and actually just a huge embarrassment to them.
I dunno.
Not a movie I'd watch over and over by any means, but I've never entirely gotten the huge hate-on people have for that series. I thought it was a nice change of pace from Pixar's usual line-up. But I guess that's just meeeeeee
