It Takes Two || Casston (takes place on June 26th)
There was something to be said about going on AIM missions, knowing that there was someone waiting for her back at her apartment, someone who wasn't involved and yet knew all about it. It made her... more driven, more ready to complete the mission without reservation. She stayed cold and calculating and focused, but at the back of her mind, all Cassidy really wanted to do was get back to Theo in one piece. She hadn't had such a single minded need since Felix; getting back in one piece was vital, but this time it was different. This time, she wasn't worried about what would happen if she didn't. These thoughts appeased her, and calmed her, as she pulled her AIM-issued gloves on and flicked her mission-issued contacts, looking at the advanced tech covering her eyes.
"Indigo, this is Caprica. Mark acquired. If I'm not out within six hours, mandatory pull on all operatives in a fifty mile radius. Rendez-vous at the meet point at 0400 hours. Caprica out."
Her target was an older businessman, in his mid-to-late sixties, who had been conducting business with HYDRA under the radar until recently. He was the head of a Latvian crime family, and she had counted off, at minimum, a sixteen man security team around his office at all times. Coupled with the information she had received in the mission dossier, she had decided that the best plan of attack was to get into the building undetected, and move through the duct work until she could drop down and slit the mans throat. And that had been her plan, until she saw another shadowy figure in the alley nearby. (And damn, she wouldn't even have noticed them if she hadn't been looking for something specifically to fuck up her plans.)
She pulled her hood a little tighter around her head as she moved towards the figure, black fabric covering everything but her eyes until she was nearer the other person. They moved like SHIELD, and that was just fucking perfect, now wasn't it? Â This required a change of plan. Her fingers shifted and she stepped out of the shadows, looking at the familiar face. Her lips twisted as she tugged down the fabric covering her mouth, and her eyes narrowed. Â "Barton."Â
