hello yes this isn't in english it's ukrainian and maybe it's hitting me so hard because i can understand, and i think the song can be…interpreted differently, in a sense. because my first take on it was a stockholm syndrome thing where she loved him even though he wouldn't let her just fucking leave, ( the first verse says, Додому я просилася, А він мене все не пускав. "i begged to go home, and he wouldn't let me go. ) and she's telling her mom please don't curse me, i love him, i want to live, mom my friend ruined my braid, mom i'm crying because i love him and i lost/don't want to lose him, but no mom i'm not crying.  however, i suppose it could also be a love song. he didn't want me to leave, i didn't want to leave but my mom was going to start asking where i'm going, i'm crying because i love him mom please understand.
