falls asleep on the couch: Lucien

Lucien’s duties as emissary can be thoroughly exhausting. There are days when he comes back late at night, and with Elain long asleep, he sits on the couch to enjoy a quick drink before going to sleep. It usually ends with Elain finding him dead asleep (she intuitively wakes up if Lucien doesn’t join her for the longest time), half-sitting, half-lying in the couch, now empty glass perched dangerously close on the edge of the coffee table.

She quietly joins him (although she doesn’t need to be that quiet, Lucien’s really out of it) and curls herself up along his body, nuzzling his neck. Lucien usually wakes up very early in the morning, gathers Elain in his arms and gets them both into bed where they sleep till late morning.

Connecting with people and understanding them is in Lucien’s nature. Which results in many invitations for parties from their neighbours - which is perfect because while Lucien loves parties, he doesn’t like cleaning up after them.

Elain is just as popular though, always at the center of the party, no matter if it’s as a hostess or as a guest. With all the homemade cookies and the best gardening tips, there’s always a circle of people around her, Lucien having to push through the crowd after he gets back with their drinks.

is the adventurous eater: Lucien

Due to his travels all over Prythian, Lucien is the one who is well-versed in different kinds of cuisine. Elain is more on the traditional side but can be coaxed into trying something new from time to time, given the right incentive xD

hogs the covers at night: Elain

Elain is a little savage in bed. Lucien stands no chance on securing the covers during the night, Elain just takes it all. He needs to wrap himself around her to keep warm.

forgets to do the dishes: Elain

It’s not that she means to forget. It’s just that Elain is prone to falling into deep thought, making her unaware of the present. At such times, Lucien does the dishes without mentioning it to Elain, knowing that she would feel bad for forgetting.

tries to surprise their partner more often: Lucien

I’m fairly certain Lucien’s the master of surprises. Elain smiles the sweetest brightest smile when he takes her to a place she hasn’t been before or leaves a small gift somewhere she will surely find it during her day. And since one of Lucien’s biggest hobbies is coaxing smiles out of Elain, he’s mastered the art of surprising her (WHICH IS TRICKY AS HELL, THE GIRL IS A SEER RIGHT)

stays up til 2 AM reading: Lucien

It’s not that Elain doesn’t like reading but night was made for sleeping, thank you very much. Whereas, on evenings when Lucien’s emissary duties don’t keep him busy, he enjoys catching up on his reading.

And she has the loveliest voice, really. Keeping up with the actual melody of the song is a different matter, however. Yep, Elain is completely tone-deaf. Still, what she lacks in technique, she makes up for in sheer enthusiasm. Her energetic wailing tempts have tempted Lucien into many shared showers. And when Elain sings at him, her eyes closed, her head thrown back as she uses shower head for a microphone, he can’t help but join in on the singing.

Their under-shower performances leave them pretty pent-up and their face-to-face singing usually ends with them locking lips - and so if they shower together, it takes a looong time.

And she’s very enthusiastic about it too. You might think with someone as gorgeous as Elain, taking a great photo is easy-peasy, but that’s not always the case. Elain is all about catching the moment and it doesn’t matter to her how she looks - goofy, with her eyes half-closed, her hair our of place.

Plus, on all the selfies she takes with Lucien...the way he looks at her? It’s clear she’s always beautiful in his eyes.

i mean i used to like her music. i liked one (1) song on 1989 and tbh i consider you belong with me and like love story early 2010′s classics but i NEVER liked her as a person, and i just couldn’t get around that

but she’s being SO petty and so childish and like girl ur 27!!!! ur 27 and ur being so cloying and awful and also that thing with the album release date is way out of order.

“Elain, dove, you don’t -”

It was too late. Elain’s hands were already full of suds.

“You’re going to get your dress all wet,” Lucien protested.

“Maybe,” she agreed, “but your hair needs to be washed.”

“I’m perfectly capable of washing my own hair, dove.”

Elain shook her head stubbornly, and, with no further ado, buried her hands in Lucien’s hair. He left out a long sigh, more of enjoyment than of annoyance, and leaned back against the side of the tub. This was at least the fifth time they’d had this argument, and Elain won every time.

falls asleep on the couch: Mor. All the time. Nesta just smiles down at her and gently wakes her up to get her to move to the bedmakes friends with the neighbors: Mor.is the adventurous eater: Both. Mor has always been an adventurous eater but after discovering how different and delicious fae food is, Nesta wants to try everything too.hogs the covers at night: Nesta. She’s had to sleep with sisters who would steal your blanket immediately if you weren’t careful and old habits die hard…forgets to do the dishes: Nesta.tries to surprise their partner more often: Nesta. Mor doesn’t surprise Nesta too often because she knows Nesta doesn’t like surprises. Mor, however, does and Nesta tries to surprise her sometimes with small things she knows she’ll like.leaves dirty laundry on the floor: Mor. Nesta’s bad with most household chores but she’s good with putting the laundry away. Mor will undress in the middle of a room if she feels like it and leave her clothes lying there. stays up til 2 AM reading: Nesta. Which is why she loves to sleep in and Mor has a hard time waking her up in the morning.sings in the shower: Mor.takes the selfies: Mor.plans date night: Nesta. Mor will mostly just be down to do everything and anything but Nesta needs to have a clear plan so she just takes it upon herself to research date locations and activities and plan their dates.
