Once again, you investigate the death of one of your fellow Incarnates. Once again, you force yourself to appraise her wounds, to follow her trail, to pick through the wreckage. And once again, all too soon, the investigation comes to an end.

“It is time for the trail to begin, please make your way to the Summoning Circle.”

Once more, you traipse out into the chilly water outside the tree, taking your place at your desk. Once more, Kali and Amber wait in the center, while Alvarie leans disinterestedly against the wall.

“Welcome everyone…” Amber is withdrawn and down, perhaps worse than she was during the last trial. At this point, it’s been a while since you’ve seen her cheerful personality from when you first arrived. She waves you to your seats.

Kali claps her hands, taking flight from her usual position on Amber’s shoulder. “Alright, you know the drill! Who dunnit? Have a little chat, and figure it out! You can vote anytime you want, by the way. We’ll call it when we feel like you’ve had enough time!”

The pixie does a slow circuit of the room as she continues.  “And remember, some of you are on your third strike now, after all those abstentions during the incentive. Go on! Give me an excuse to show you what ‘severe punishment’ looks like! I dare you.” She lands on Amber’s shoulder again.

The sacrificed Incarnate is Perry Harbor.  At precisely 10:42 PM, she did expire from exsanguination, that being the fatal loss of an excess of blood.

Perry’s remains were then located by Shinjuku, Esmee Fournier, and Frank Cross at approximately 10:43 PM.
