i keep thinking about that one quote from one of ben's ex-girlfriends (i think it's diane grey page if i remember correctly) in the cars biography by bill janovitz where she basically says something like "oh yeah ric tried to kiss me once, not because he was interested in me but because he wanted everything ben had. did i tell ben about it? oh no of course not, he was really jealous, like that one time he burned my clothes in the fireplace because he didn't want me to look at another man" like????????? girl they're both insane GET OUT OF THERE

ok one last cars fanfic related post before i go to sleep, but i've read pretty much any fic about that band i could find online (yes i even went on wattpad and i also read the ones on rockfic thanks to one of my mutuals) and an interesting thing i've been noticing is that if people do write slash fanfic about them they're mostly shipping ben and elliot which i think is so interesting because personally i've never seen their dynamic that way so i wonder where people are getting that from

i would post more fanfiction about the cars if it wasn't so weirdly intimidating to post for a fandom that has like 10 active members and no active writers... like if people search for cars fanfiction they will see my bullshit first
