Valentineâs Day Special #14
One Piece World â¤ď¸  Dating Ace requested by carson-thatcher
âWeâre here!â You opened your eyes and your grip loosened around his waist and you immediately hopped off his striker. You patted the snow off of your jacket and sighed in relief at feeling of your feet touching the sand. You put your hands on your hips after patting your blue hair down.Â
âI should smack you for how reckless you drove out there, Ace!â He only laughed before pressing a quick kiss on your lips and grinning at you when you blushed.
âWe had to get here today though! Come with me!â He grabbed your hand and dragged you up to the town. Now, you didnât know what to expect from your fire wielding boyfriend but, hey, you liked surprises anyway. With his hand securely holding yours and your fingers interlocked, you smiled softly at the warmth that emitted from him.
He brought you to a winter island that was nearby to the Moby Dick so that the two of you could have some privacy for the holiday. You were honestly surprised that he even remembered but he could be surprisingly romantic sometimes. In the year and a half of knowing and dating him, he was always treated you with respect and surprised you any chance he got. Lately, the two of you had been busy with Whitebeardâs errands but he demanded that you be free on this day, the holiday of love. You realized that he wasnât playing around when he picked you up in the middle of your conversation with Marco. You didnât even know when he threw you your jacket and made you put it on. He wore his own jacket, grinning at you as he helped you onto the striker.
âCarson!â You snapped out of your thoughts and looked up at him, light blue eyes meeting warm dark brown eyes. He was grinning at you, a light blush on his cheeks from the cold or something else you couldnât tell.
âWhat?â He chuckled and patted your head gently with his other hand.
âYou just looked so cute. What were you thinking about?â You smiled and shook your head.
âJust thinking about how you literally dragged me away from a conversation.â You bumped your hip against his as the two of you walked. âWhich was rude, by the way.â He chuckled and shook his head.
âI told you that I wanted your attention all day.â You rolled your eyes playfully and let him lead you. Stepping through the snow covered path to various shops, your hand stayed securely in his grip. Every once in a while, he would glance at you with a smile at his lips. The two of you went to a restaurant instead of a bar for food, which made you look at him with an eyebrow raised knowing that he preferred sitting and eating at a bar.
He led you down the path after dinner as the moon started to rise, making the snow seem brighter in the darkness.
âAlright, Ace. What was this all about? You went all out.â You finally brought up, playing with the chain around your neck that he insisted on buying it for you. He only grinned before putting a finger to his lips. He saw a bench up ahead and brushed the snow off with his hands, effectively melting it at the same time with his devil fruit. You smiled and sat down on the bench, him sitting next to you. He grabbed your hands in both of his and lifted up to his mouth. He blew warm air onto your hands, making you smile softly as the warmth from his hands and his breath immediately brought feeling back to your hands after the numbing cold.
âDid you like today?â You nodded as his eyes met yours.
âYeah. I had a lot of fun with you today.â He grinned, making you giggle at his cute expression.Â
âIâm glad. I want to spend more days like this with you.â You raised an eyebrow, a smirk on your lips.
âWhy, Portgas D. Ace, that sounds like a vow.â He chuckled and shrugged.
âMaybe. I wouldnât mind that.â The smirk fell from your lips as you blinked.
âWhat?â He smiled as he played with your palm with his other finger. You could tell he was nervous from how his eyes drifted away from yours and the blush on his face was a dark red, obviously not from the cold.
âYou wanna get married?â He let your hand go to reach into his pocket. âI got a ring and everything.â He mumbled, holding out a simple gold band in his palm. Your own cheeks flared up and your heart almost beat out of your ribcage. You could see how he fidgeted with every second that passed of your silence. You smiled softly and reached forward, brushing the snow away from his hair before tangling your fingers in his hair.Â
You coaxed his head up gently and pressed your lips against his, immediately heating up from his touch. You pulled away only to whisper a soft âyesâ before pulling him back in for another deep kiss. His hand for your left one and slid the finger on blindly, too focused on the feeling of your lips on his. When he finished with the ring he intertwined his fingers with yours, melting into the kiss.Â
