Bread pudding
For the caramel
250 gr granulated sugar
80 ml water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
For the pudding
200 gr old bread
550 ml hot milk
5 small eggs
100 gr sugar
10 gr vanillin sugar
1. Β Β In a bowl add the old bread cut into cubes. Cover with the hot milk and set aside.
2. Β Β Meanwhile, in a saucepan make the caramel. Add the sugar to the water and do not stir until it starts to brown. It is time to add the lemon juice and remove from heat.
3. Β Β Put it on the non-stick baking tray you are going to use. Be sure to cover the edges too.
4. Β Β Now, with a fork start mashing the softened bread. Add the other ingredients. Mix well and put on the baking tray.
5. Β Β Cover with aluminum foil; put the baking tray on a bigger one. Fill with hot water at ΒΎ of the height and bake in a preheated oven for about 45 minutes at 180oC.
6. Β Β Let cool down. Then put in the fridge for about 4 hours.
7. Β Β Remove from the fridge, put some fruit on top, cut the slices and it is ready to serve and enjoy!
