Simons eyes go dead hearing those words. Rage wanted to flare. But he knew his partners were on the bridge and he didnt want them to see him like that. To see him angry.. his guilt swarms. Telling him that what the anon said was true.. that he did deserve his death. That his partners would turn on him if they Knew... even if the more logical side of brain said in it was false. That cap and mark Love Him. That They Know even without the knitty gritty details.. and they love him anyway. But his swarming guilt tried to convince him otherwise. And it seemed like it was winning. His eyes dead and glassy. And face lacking its emotion...

*tosses mark a bouquet of roses, and candles for a romantic aura appear strategically around the bridge*
[Mark puts his head in his hands as the bouquet of roses spits out of a wormhole and hits him in the head, dropping lightly to the desk without damage. The Captain glances around, confused and a little panicked, before they look back at Mark, their gaze piercing.]
What is this?
This really isn't how I wanted this to go...
[Mark mutters into his hands, sounding tired and more than a little mortified, and the Captain shakes their head.]
Mark, please explain this to me, or I'm going to start guessing, and I do not like where my logic is taking me right now.
You're not gonna let go of this, are you?
Mark.
[They sound worried, more so than anyone's ever heard them, and their voice stays steely, like they're panicking, too. Mark shakes his head, looking up at Simon with slightly wet eyes, apologetic and guilty and embarrassed and a million other things as he meets Simon's gaze to avoid looking at the Captain for just another a moment longer.]
*picks up cap like a mii in tomodachi life*
*drags them to whereever mark and simon are and drops them on the two*

What the hell is a To-
[The Captain doesn't yelp, exactly, but they do make a rather undignified sound as they're yoinked by an invisible force and carried across the room only to be dropped squarely on top of Mark. Mark does yelp, high-pitched and shocked, trying to catch them bridal-style and failing as he overbalances backwards, and they both end up in a heap at Simon's feet.]
Caap, mark, kiss simons cheeks at the same time!

[The Captain flushes slightly at the idea, about to firmly decline, but Mark grins brightly, and they've never been able to say no when he gets excited like that.]
That's so cute, wait-!
[He whispers so as not to tip Simon off before, without explanation, he pulls Simon towards the monitor, between him and the Captain, gently cradling Simon's chin with his hand to keep him steady.]

[Mark plants a somewhat exaggerated kiss on Simon's left cheek, and, not wanting to spoil it, the Captain hesitantly presses their lips to his right, their hands politely and shyly held behind their back as they do so.]

Well, I don't get to sleep in my cryopod anymore.
[The Captain huffs, crossing their arms as they grumble, and even Mark looks a little salty about it, although his expression is mostly sheepish.]
Yeah... we've tried it a few times, but usually we just all end up piling into my bed...

Our warp core may be out of commission, leaving us to travel the last few years of our journey through conventional means, but through the incredible skill and talent of my Head Engineer Mark Iplier (hi!!!) we have managed to repurpose what remained to establish a digital link across the width of the multiverse, using this website that seems to be a universal constant, Tumblr. The purpose of this link is not only for research and discovery, but to find out if there are others like us who have experienced similar reality-breaking events.
