“ i’m not expecting you to stay, you know that, right? you don’t have to. ” tony may have wanted steve to stay but it felt unfair to make him. admittedly the other mans presence did bring him comfort, in fact he’d never admit it out loud but he needed him there but he didn’t want to be a burden nor did he want to push steve away all because he got to see him at his lowest. so initially his reaction was to try and get him to leave or at least give him the option and even he wanted to curse himself out for that.
tony rested his head down onto steve’s shoulders, his eyes shut as he breathed in. his fingers itched to reach out for him but he resisted, just keeping his head against him for as long as he’d be allowed. “ i’m sorry, you shouldn’t have to be here. i shouldn’t have - i could have dealt with this on my own, they are just night terrors after all.”

“Oh?” Bucky looked over to where Steve was laying, how his arm was positioned in such a way that the circulation was probably putting his arm to sleep. Too lazy to get up, Bucky lifted his foot and nudged his arm with his toes, wondering if the sleeping feeling was kicking in or wearing off right about now.
“Roll over then. Or switch arms. We’re probably gonna be out here for another hour at least before someone comes to relieve us for this watch.” It was important that they keep in position, even if nothing was happening right now. The warehouse had been a hub of suspicious activity as of late, and while they had no plans on busting it tonight, everyone was taking a turn or two to watch and see just who this area belonged to. His money was on Fisk, but you could never rule out... well, anyone in this business.
“Or you know, keep laying on it. Then we can amputate and have matching arms! I’m sure Tony can whip you up something real quick. If he hasn’t already.”

Of all the people at the party who could have approached him to dance, Steve Rogers would have been at the very bottom of Loki’s list. Not because he didn’t like the guy, although he wasn’t much of a fan either; but because he’d never expected Steve would want to dance with him. Loki could only assume that his mask hid enough of his features to enable him unrecognisable to the Captain. He was tempted to refuse on principle alone, he did find the Captain’s personality annoyingly good and self righteous, but he also loved to dance, and right now no one else was getting in line to ask him. “Are you sure you’re okay dancing with another man?” He would give the Captain a chance to back out, if not....he guess they would be dancing.

A true miracle. Clint brought Steve a mug of coffee, holding it by the rim, kind enough not to kill a whole pot this morning.
❝ Didn’t throw out your hip doing your daily stretches did you, grandpa? ❞ He snorted a laugh and tossed his head. Clint knew Steve could throw him through the window but he’d be confused for a skrull if he didn’t give the man hell every time he saw him.
