I have a very odd AU type of question (if that’s what you can call it)

Now let’s say for whatever reason, Birdie is killed at any point in time because Kid wasn’t able to save her or smth in any timeline/story and through some magical way Kid is given the chance to bring her back but in exchange she would forget everything about him. Would he do it and why??

What an angsty scenario you have there (I love it). Kid would definitely bring birdie back, he wouldn’t even think about it twice. The fact that she doesn’t remember would not discourage him in the slightest.

As for what he would do afterwards, I can see it going one of two ways, depending on the timeline.

Captive/Bonds timeline: he doesn’t do anything about birdie’s memory loss. At this point, Kid is convinced to be the worst thing that ever happened to her (even more so in this scenario where she died on his watch), so he wouldn’t want to interfere with her life again. I’m guessing she’d go back being a marine. From that moment on, the Kid Pirates will be under strict rule to make sure birdie is not on the vessel any time they cross marines ships, and if she is, they will not engage.

Birdie and I had a serious disagreement in the latest chapter of Bonds. She really wanted to spat something out loud that would have side-tracked the entire final scene.

Eventually I convinced her to keep her mouth shut but she did so begrudgingly. In return, I cannot stifle her anymore for the rest of the story. With Onigashima coming up, I’m not sure what bullshit she might get into anymore.

Also with kid df power, I can't help but imagine that he can just yeet Birdie like a pokemon lol
