try to sleep, even if just for a little. even as little as 30 minutes makes a huge difference in your functionality after 20+ hours. if you have minions (what i fondly call the students), don't be afraid to delegate some of the easier work load to them (something like jotting down new labs come morning is really useful).

Not sure there's anything you can do to prepare. Go lay down as much as you can. Even if you don't sleep, even if it's only for 5-10 minutes, it helps just to close your eyes and relax. Enjoy your post-call coma and make sure you spend adequate post-call time resting. The impulse is to do stuff. You'll regret that decision later. This is especially true if you'll be doing these q3-4. Rest is key. Just accept you'll be either working or sleeping for the next month.
Thanks, all <3 Got out a whopping 1 hour early. It wasnât as bad as I expected (although I only had 1 admission). Came home, walked dog, showered, passed out. Set my alarm for mid-afternoon but was woken up early by a VERY loud ice cream truck that parked itself across from my apartment building. Ordered food from my favorite Turkish takeout place and am just gonna chill and maybe deal with some emails today. I get tomorrow off too which is really nice so I can actually run some errands. But yeah, Iâm q4 this month and in January, and q3 in June, so I realized Iâll be regularly staying up for 30+ hours for a quarter of my intern year :/
