“Aaaand there we are. Capitol job.” Henry congratulated himself as he very carefully finished the arrangement of breakfast pastries on the table at his private address on Krakoa. The whole place very much felt like Henry. Plenty of natural light flowing in through the bay windows, shrubbery in hanging planters that he had just finished spritzing for the day, and a reading nook in the corner with an exceedingly cushy chair, coffee table, and lamp.
She was going to be here any moment and while he had invited Betsy over for business purposes it had been too long since they last caught up. He figured he could do both. He began buttoning up his floral Hawaiian shirt as he turned the kettle on with his dexterous feet. He didn’t have much in terms of nice clothes but Hawaiian shirts and baggy khaki shorts always could fit his rather large body.
Painstakingly he looked over the room making sure nothing was out of place as he fiddled with the books he had left on his counter for better presentation. Not knowing what else to do he grabbed his latest read and sat in his chair trying to look as cool and casual as possible in case she walked in on her own accord; looking cool and casual was not one of his strong suits.
