“I don’t mind waiting for my first kiss. I just hope that when it happens, it’ll be important. And I want it to be with someone who really wants my first kiss too.” (Or: the one where Tony is pining, Steve takes the long way around to realizing he’s in love, and there’s clothes sharing.)

“Which means more people on board as well as more speed. Wow, that’s magic.”

“Science, but, thank you.” Tony smirks and taps on the side of the turbine.

“Of course,” Steve says, fully aware that he's staring at Tony and he might look somewhat creepy with the smile plastered on his face, making his cheeks hurt a little. “It’s amazing,” he adds, doing his best to tear his eyes off Tony’s face, and failing miserably. “You’re— your work is just amazing.” He coughs, feeling really hot suddenly, as Tony steps forward and places a hand on his shoulder.

“Are you okay?”

“I’m all good, thank you for asking,” Steve says, coughing again, not sounding very convincing, but his awkward smile grows even wider. What if he brought his own hand up to cover Tony’s? Would it be too inappropriate if he just pressed Tony’s body to the wall right here, and kissed him?

“You seem to have a fever,” Tony says and his palm touches Steve’s forehead. “You should definitely go to medical, you might have picked up some virus from Earth that you don’t want to spread around.”

Steve takes a deep breath to calm himself but Tony's dizzying scent is all that he can smell. “I’ll do that,” he says, nodding quickly. “Thank you for the tour.” He walks a few steps backward. “I’ll medical bay. Go. I’ll now bay to medical. Now.”

He walks backward, until he hits a cold hard wall before he finally finds the door to throw himself out. He runs through the corridors, takes three wrong turns, and ends up by the swimming pool at some point, so tempted to just jump in with his uniform on.

This is my collaboration with one and only @bladeofthenebula27​  for Cap-IM Reverse Big Bang 2021, which was so much fun and made me dip my toe into Star Trek AU and learn a lot of things about this wonderful universe! 

This is my art for the Cap-IM Rbb 2021 for team X-factor! The amazing Angenoir wrote a fantastic story for my art!

Stark (vs) Rogers Cafe by Angenoir!

Colonel Nick Fury will go to his grave denying the fact that he deliberately set up the safe-house with a cafe as a front nearby Stark's tower.

Or that he knew placing the three he could there would help them bond.

Or that he suspected Stark would stumble upon the cafe and connect with them.

Or that he was doing his best to keep the few Avengers still around - with Bruce Banner out of country - together so they could form a team.
