"Can You See Her?". Today, I purposely sought out beauty. It was my last day of jury duty, not in a difficult trial, but with difficult jurors. Each with their own opinion, some of whom thought only theirs was right. Having to deliberate and come to a meeting of the minds with a group you don't know, have no vested interest in knowing, and will probably never see again, about someone else's fate, is a difficult task. From the looks of my newsfeed last night, that seemed the theme of the past two days. So today, my goal was to see beauty in my day, if only for a moment of respite. The sun was shining brightly. The breeze was gentle. The temperature milder than it has been and it just felt good to be outside. In search my search I looked up. What I found was a beautifully blue sky. Trees, not yet adorned in their full garb, with outstretched limbs, reaching skyward. Clouds of the type that allow you to let your imagination run free deciphering their shape. I snapped, with the intention of sharing the beauty I found. As I looked more closely, I saw in the near distance, a small, barely recognizable figure, Lady Justice. Close enough that I make her out, yet far enough that I can't see her features.
