☀️ what do you like the most about your best friend?

Okay two best friend sized barrels of love coming right up.

My other half! I usually have to blunder through a friendship for months while I consider somebody a friend and they consider me an acquaintance, but with her it’s just BOOM. Friends! It’s so wonderful to always feel like I’m on the same wave length as somebody else in this world. There aren’t a lot of people who can easily understand (or deal with) my rambling stories followed by long silences, who will listen to my intensely annoying taste in music for days at a time (go listen to Colorado Cool-Aid by Johnny Paycheck NOW) nor are there many I’d want to go camping in Canada’s wilderness with, but she is that person to me. To be loved is to be understood, and I feel like her and I understand each other at a molecular level.

My other best friend is such a lil ball of good vibes. Every time she comes to see me I feel like she’s scooped up a bit of that Texas sun and released it into my house. I require a certain amount of kid gloves, and it’s nice to be mothered by somebody so warm and genuinely selfless. I love the amount of energy she has and never seems flustered by the amount on her plate, and I hope my Nap-A-Day self brings her some much deserved peace and rest. Both of us are pretty prone to crying, too, and more so in the way of “I am overwhelmed so I Must Cry” so it’s always refreshing to sit around watching Queer Eye bawling our eyes out without fear of judgement or teasing. It’s with ease that I tell her how I’m feeling any given moment.

He would love some sort of bird. Like a song bird or sorts. Maybe a mockingbird or a canary. He’d love teaching it words and songs.

I think he’d enjoy the fantasy equivalent of New Years or Valentine’s. Or if there’s any sort of musical based holidays, definitely those. 

15. What is the best gift they could receive?

EVERYONE LOVES A GOOD BLANKET, but if anyone has any wood shine for his guitar or violin, or wax for his flute, he’d be super appreciative.

I legitimately googled to see if there were any recorded Avvar holidays and I couldn’t find any, so I’m going to go off the next best thing, Viking holidays (because I’m fairly certain they’re heavily viking based)

So I’m going to say the Avvar version of Thurseblot. Thurseblot is a celebration of Thor, which takes place on the first full moon of January. From what I’ve gathered in my brief 15 minute foray into Norse holidays: it usually involves drinking, feasting, poems and songs dedicated to Thor. It is used as a way to encourage Thor to drive back the Jotuns and help the spring to come.
