have you ever heard of the plant seller Logee's? they have some ~rare and unusual~ houseplants. my mum got a catalog and there's actual Corpse Flowers for sale, okay, it's kind of ridiculous.
Yeah, I get their email newsletters all the time and enjoy just looking at them lol I’m not sure I could ever afford to buy a fancy rare plant off of there because like.. I’d probably kill it. Plus, I’ve seen some “super rare!!!” plants on ebay and even in the greenhouse I work at for wayyy cheaper but I may be spoiled. Mostly it’s shipping that makes the plants expensive and they tend to be small.
But yeah, I just checked on the corpseflower and like??? It’s legit a corpseflower?? And is only $100 bucks? Granted, that little plant would take a longggg time to even attempt to flower if it ever did and is essentially just a very expensive and ugly big ole tuber for now. There’s only one in stock, god, this is absolutely a feasible thing I could buy.

home depot or comparable stores have these really nice hefty plastic snap-together shelves for like 40 bucks. shelves!!
lol I have two of their wire ones already actually! they’re pretty decent, the plastic ones definitely wouldn’t hold the weight of the 15 gallon tho unfortunately

timed lights are just so dang convenient. the one on the lamp in my room makes this godawful grinding noise but it's sort of comforting. like a clock. anyway yes timers good
Both of mine just make gentle clicks when they go on or off and then I just look at my lights that aren’t on timers and have to.... drag my ass out of bed to shut them off....... terrible
