Like pages torn from a notebook and thrown into the fire place, I watched us burn. Our edges glowed red, curled and faded to ash but my heart still shows the evidence like the jaded edges hanging on where we tore out the pages

So I was rewatching season 1 for the umpteenth time ... and every time I do, it amazes me how obvious it was that Pope KNEW when he went looking for Deran at the surf shop. I think at the time I didn’t pick up on it as much, because that was before Craig’s little speech to him at the party and we were meant to assume nobody knew. Or was I just oblivious and dumb? It wouldn’t be the first time.
