This is the founder of the Hatake Clan who is in love with the moon and ran away from a monastery in the 1400s.

the reason why the hatake are cursed w/ doomed/toxic love and partially the reason why the clan is so small now in modern Konoha
The Hatake started out in a convent of monks. They (not hatake the monks) performed religious ceremonies and were scribes and had a dedicated force to protect the temple. Tokiya was born from a pregnant woman (who died) and the highest monk and kept as a boy because as no one knows if her existence she can be used to sneak into places, and be lent to the highest bidder to kill or sneak information. But she desperately wants a family so she runs away at the first opportunity to live in the woods. She steals all that she could from the monks and ran, praying to the moon goddess to help her leave. The moon goddess sends the wolves and the first summoning contract was made. Tokiya keeps stumbling upon people needing help and by chakra religion fuckery adds/starts the Hatake clan by having them drink her blood and gaining the signature chakra and attributes. (That's where the cannibal hatake parts come in). They gain their last name for tax purposes only.
Tokiya is in love with the moon and plans to dedicate her entire life to her goddess and eternally bind herself to the moon once she gathers enough family to witness it. She wants a whole village full and keeps adoption people way older and way younger than her and they didn't have clans anyway and the Spirit Wolf seems fine to travel with. And then the kids keep finding summoning contracts to big mammals especially like Snow Leopards, Lion, Foxes, Tigers, etc.
But Tokiya eventually makes a mistake of trusting the wrong person who wants to trap her to the earth, a man named Uchiha Kunitaka who asks for help from the Spirit Wolf in deciphering a message from Amaterasu. He became obsessed with her and her knowledge of the land and the spirits which seemed to outclass him, a descendent of the Sage. He keeps proposing but she keeps saying that she's getting married to the moon that freed her. So he goes to the Uzumaki for a seal to keep her with him forever or doom her new clan (which is huge now)
The Uzumaki refuse, so he tries to come up with one on his own that he crashes her pseudo wedding for and since her whole family is there, it gets them too. Coincidentally, there is a singular Senju that came to support his new Hatake cousin and watched this all go down. Since she will never fall in love an Uchiha and now neither will her new family, they are doomed to trouble with love forever until a Hatake falls in love with an Uchiha. Unfortunately, most of the clan is wiped out before that happens since after the wedding, they move from Land of Fire into the Land of Iron to escape the Uchiha-Senju conflict that sprouted, losing about half the new clan already from the trip across the continent.
I imagine this happens in like the 1400s, during the emergence of schools like the Ashikaga School founded by a samurai which sparks military expansion and schools of thought across nations. Her preferred weapon is also a monk staff but she broke all the metal off to soften it to gently smack silly new clan members. And her new clan is frequently discovering new things about their added bloodline and keeps asking her about it, and she acts all mysterious and all knowing but then late at night these things keep her up like what the fuck. new teeth? bone structure? how to deal with smell? if she had google it would be filled with the most cursed webMD searches.
